The previous one I purchased had to be trimmed down to fit but this one was the proper OEM size. I read lots of Ram owner reviews that experienced the exact same problem over quite a large window of time. At last as of my order (1/25/2025) it seems they may have corrected that specification issue. I bought the same filter again because it was cheap, performed well, and trimming it down wasn’t it big deal. But I’m much happier with the proper part now. I’m ordering a backup while they are on sale today (1/25/2025) and if that one comes in wrong then you won’t be reading this because I’ll modify my review.

Easy to install, once I figured out where it was located. Great quality. Fast shipping, excellent price I will purchase again when it’s time to replace it.

I should have read reviews and more detail.The amazonConfirmedFit was wrong.while this product has similar dimensions to the stock cabin air filter of the 2021 Ram 3500,the Hard carboard rim around the edge of the product make it impossible to install without crushing the filter.

UPDATE:08/04/2021 Just wanted to add that the filter seems to have worked as advertised and the amount of visible particles, hair, etc was very impressive. One IMPORTANT thing I did find is that the following measurements are , from what I can tell, the exact size needed for a good fit; 8.5 x 7.68 x 0.98I took a set of calipers AND a measuring tape and confirmed the filter size IS: 8.5 x 7.68 x 0.98. I don't think any larger sized-filter will fit into the housing (at least on Our 2011 Dodge Avenger HEAT Model ).It kind of bothers Me that a number of the filters that are listed as fitting this car here on Amazon, do NOT conform to the 8.5 x 7.68 x 0.98 size. Not quite sure how One would go about "Shrinking " the too-big filter down to fit....maybe a big enough hammer fixes all?All in all, am going to buy this filter once again!02/10/2019 I wasn't aware that Our 2011 Dodge Avenger had a cabin air filter and since We bought the car used I figured that it probably needed replacement as the car is almost 9 years old. Sure enough the old filter was black and smelled rough! The new filter fits perfectly and couldn't be a better value!When I researched the cost of the cabin filter replacement at a Dodge Dealer for Our 2011 Dodge Avenger I was blown away by the $69 cost.Once again Amazon Garage comes through with the correct part at a great price!!

If you’re considering this for a RAM 1500, it is the correct size. However, the way it’s oriented, the corrugation will make installation more difficult than it needs to be.If you’ve installed one of these into a RAM truck before, you know that you have to sort of squeeze it into the slot at an angle because there is not enough clearance in the front to just slide it in. Normally that’s not a problem because the corrugation lines run from front to back, so it has a little give when it squeezes. On this one the corrugation lines run from side to side, so it doesn’t bend easily. This makes it tough to jam it into the slot, and it doesn’t spring back to shape so there’s probably a bit of an air gap now along the side. I will go with a different brand next time to avoid the issue.

This an excellent product and easy to install.

Ordered this as a replacement for the original factory filter in my 2020 Ram. This filter is roughly the same physical size, but is slightly thicker. Also, the factory filter is only rigid on 2 sides, but this filter is rigid on all 4 sides, making it impossible to bend slightly to fit into place. This filter seems to be made well, and might be fine for other applications, but definitely not the Ram truck
