Originally I was sent a pack that only had the vowel a, but they quickly sent me a pack that had all the vowels and additional consonants. Thank you! These are a little bigger than dice. My five-year-old loves dice and playing with them, so for him these were just another fun way to play with 'dice' in packs of three. It's simple and repetitive, which gives him confidence. Being able to touch and move them around adds another dynamic to help his brain remember to 'tap' each sound out when it's not a sight word.

These were not big but that did not stop me from loving them any less for my kids! This makes them portable to travel. The letters are very clear. And although as someone mentioned before, they sometimes do not make real words, the point is to teach blending with these in all situations which I appreciate. For example, bet, met, fet, ket. The child learns the practice of blending cvc words in all situations with no limitations. Will be using this for both kids, and any future kids we have in the future. These are keepers!!!!

These are small, I should have read the reviews so I wouldn't have been so surprised. However, my son's are enjoying them and immediately started to sound out the blends and reading them. I added the extra vowel e at the end of some of the words to make the blend as a long vowel sound.

Bought this for my son who is in preschool. He reads at Kindergarten level now. This is cool concept to help him build words and memorize short vowel words. I like the concept but it had some discoloration on one of the cubes, I also thought the letters were glued on face of cubes in a flimsy way and should be more durable.

This is just like the wood Montessori blocks. I bought this because it was cheaper, so it wasn't a surprise to find that these were just plastic cubes with stickers on them. I only have one child and don't care if they don't last more than a year. My child has lots of fun with these and asks to use them. He's taken them on trips and treats them like a game. Exactly what I wanted for a great price.

I used this recently in my clinical 1 lesson as a student teacher. It was perfect for blending and phonics lesson. The kids had fun and it was a perfect hands on activity after the lesson. The kids worked in pairs to form words and sound them out. I love it. Will keep for future use.

My four year old is just learning simple words and he loves this product. We take it in the car, I keep it in my purse for use during downtime, it really helps! He loves showing other relatives how he can read with this product. It's very portable and colorful.

These are TINY. They didn’t look that small in the pictures. I guess I didn’t pay attention to the measurements. Just too small for school use.
