Easy to use and produces a delicious cup of my favorite coffee for a great price
Wow, I wish I tried this a long time ago! The hardest part was cutting the lid off of the original branded capsule. (Use small scissors.) The picture the capsule after I pressed the lid on. The middle picture shows post brew, this brand on top, original branded capsule on bottom. When you use this kit it does have a sticky seal when you press it on, but this is much easier to remove vs the original. The last picture is after I made my coffee and peeled the lid off. Bonus for me - I was able to use my favorite coffee that I grind in the store. It was not ground for espresso, but it was much finer than if you buy a bag of preground coffee and it produced a delicious cup of coffee.

Absolutely the best lid available.
These lids are the best I have used. Both the aluminum lid and the adhesive are strong and are easy to install. Because of the adhesive's strength, the lids are difficult to remove for refilling if careful assembly is not followed. I found that once the lid is placed on the cartridge and pressed into the circular collar, it is only necessary to press the slightly overlapping aluminum lid against the side of the rim, not underneath it. If this procedure is followed, the lids can be successfully removed when the cartridge needs refilling. If one presses them under the outer lip, they will be extremely difficult to remove, which I found frustrating. I recommend these lids strongly with the above caveat. Chef Larry

Mixed feelings - sharing my experience
So the idea of this product is nice - several reasons I bought it - 1) I have many bags of coffee that I had or one of my friends gave me and I feel bad not to use it 2) to save some money from keep buying the original capsule 3) thought would be cool to reuse the capsules -My experience it is not easy - as I show in the photos it is a process and one mistake your coffee will not taste good ( example if you pressure the coffee inside the capsule or if you added so much extra or less than normal ) - so it takes couple of rounds to master the process. Also, if you wake up and want your cup of coffee now - it would be a good idea to prepare it before your sleep or definitely you will do a mistake -I still like the idea but the moment the covers finish- will I get more covers - I am not sure.To summarize: I will still buy the capsule but it is a nice way to use bags of coffee that I had and wish to use -as a permanent solution: it may not work for everyone.

Saving more than a dollar per day!
This is a fun little gadget to use and I think it does a great job. It’s very easy to use and the replacement foil perfectly aligns on top of the aluminum pod cup. I would recommend that you do several at a time so that you are always ready for that daily cup. I have only had one issue and I think it might have been because I might have overfilled the coffee and then tamped it, which packed it too hard and when the machine tried to brew the coffee, it would not come out. I put in a different pod that I had created and it worked just fine. I estimate the savings for me to be $1.10 per cup.

Great seals.
Works really well. I like to add cinnamon to the pod and use my own blend of beans. I think mine is better suited to my taste than the original pods. As far as the bad reviews I read, I can only think that maybe they aren’t taking the time to properly align and seal the pods? So far (on my 2nd order of 200 seals) I have had zero issues. Hope I didn’t jinx myself 😊

It works sometimes but beware the times it doesn’t!
Edited 5/27/24: I have made maybe 60 pods now and they worked great at first. The question is, do you want a catastrophic event if they dont? One pod I made came apart in my friend’s machine and made a horrible noise. We couldn’t get it clean enough to use so had to buy a new machine. We would have had it professionally cleaned but no one seems to handle Breville Nespresso machines in this area that I could find. Then it happened in my machine when I went to remove the pod … just the top came off but got a fair amount of grounds flung around while trying to pry the pod out. I ended up turning it upside down and then the grounds fell out all over everything even though I did it over a trash bag. I had to use my fingernails to get ahold of the pod bottom and squish it enough to grasp it to pull out. The machine works okay now.I was very careful making these pods but as you can see the system can fail so decide if you’re really are saving money if one potentially comes apart in your machine.————————————————————————There are some really good comments for this product, so read those. My best tip is to use tweezers to remove the old foil after cutting an x on top with a razor blade or craft knife. You can remove most of the foil from the edges that way much more easily than pulling with your fingers. Bonus: the Nessus foil is even easier to remove after brewing your refurbished pod. You don’t need to remove every little bit of foil from the edges so don’t let that slow you down. Make sure the new foil sticks well by dusting the coffee off the edges before sealing the pod. It takes a fair bit of time to refill a tube of pods but do it when listening to an audiobook and time will slide by. I have not had any problems with this set or my new pods. Just do it!!

Neat and Convenient
It's OK. Doesn't really do anything but it does give you a neat and convenient way to pre-prep a pod for the morning. I've been re-using pods for years and only bought the foils in the past. I thought the cap had a movable piece to tamp the coffee and seal the foil. It does not, but the design lets you use the top of the cap for tamping and the inside of the cap to help secure the foil.

Easy to use, great cup of expresso
Great product with a great design. We used it this morning with miscela d'oro natura and had a strong cup of expresso from our nespresso machine.
