I was pleasantly surprised by the Desertwest car sunshade for my Tesla Model Y. Unlike my previous sunshades, it's lightweight and doesn't take up much space. It blocks sunlight and UV rays well and is easy to set up and put away. The bright zip and retractable handle designs protect my Tesla's touchscreen.As a fan of simplicity and efficiency, I recommend it to other Tesla drivers. Keeping my car cool and protecting it from the sun and UV is worth every penny. It's also easy to install. It keeps the car cooler than expected and stores away in less than 10 seconds. The clever zipper design bypasses the rearview mirror, and the telescopic handle eliminates concerns about scratching the touchscreen. Although some comments mentioned issues with edge coverage, I fixed it with the sun visor. Unzip it, bypass the rearview mirror, and use Velcro to stick it on, done.Desertwest is an innovative and forward-looking brand. Even though the product could be better, I appreciate their design concept and high-quality materials. I am willing to pay this price and recommend it to Tesla owners around me to pursue a simple and efficient lifestyle. It blocks the sunlight well and makes the car cool.

I have a 2017 Ford Focus RS, which has a pretty large sized windshield. I was having trouble trying to find the dimensions of this specific sun shade for the Large size until I read another review with the measurements, so I ordered a Large. I most likely would not have ordered it at normal price due to how much it cost but I bought this during Prime Day.First time using it, it was pretty easy to learn how to use. It doesn’t open up as fast as a normal umbrella which is nice, only issue is it is a bit awkward to try to open with the shape of my dashboard, but I feel like flatter dashboards won’t have much trouble. I like that it has the Velcro strap that can also double to hold the sunshade in place above the mirror. I put down my visors for extra support, and the handle when collapsed is a good length for my dash to help prop up the shade.The Large fits my car perfectly. There is little to no sun showing through any of the corners or edges. I have noticed it helps keep my car a bit cooler too.When I took it out of the packaging, it had a little bit of a plastic smell, which wasn’t too big of a deal for me at first. However, after getting in my car after the first, the entire car smelled like burnt plastic. I live where it is 110+ degrees during the summer and my car sits uncovered at work for 8 hours, so this plastic smell intensified quite a lot. I’ve used it for a week straight and the smell is still persistent. I’ve been cracking my windows to let the smell out while in use but it still lingers.I’m giving this 4/5 stars due to the smell. Otherwise, it is a great sunshade.

This was a great purchase. Basically a window umbrella for your car. Easy to use and doesn't take up the whole back seat for storage. It opens right up and is easy to put in place. Since it opens like an umbrella, I feared it would be too clunky when opening it inside the car. To my surprise that wasn't the case at all. Design is quite well where you can open it right on the front window without much maneuvering for space. It does feel a bit flimsy however I am willing to overlook that fact due to the light weight nature of the product. It's held in place by the zipper and strap you use that can go across the top side of the review mirror. Storage wise, hands down best in class. Folds down to the size of a hand umbrella and has a nice quality case to put back in. One thing to note it does not completely fit snug, which is ok because you want just a tad of leeway to be able to retract the umbrella. Overalls great product and would highly recommend for someone in the market looking for a sunshade without taking too much space.Medium size was big enough to cover the whole window of my 2017 CRV.

Seems like a great product. Build and function seem appropriate for the price range. Super easy to deploy, retract and store. I like the semi-rigid storage 'tube' that came with it. Unfortunately the handle interferes with the dash on a 2017 Tahoe and will not fully go into/cover the windshield.
