Ocean Life in the Time of Dinosaurs Hardcover – November 21, 2023

I have not finished reading it, but it is pretty comprehensive, easy to understand, and beautifully illustrated.

Full-color artwork depicting various species of marine reptiles features on almost every page. Information is detailed and concise. What particularly interested me was a depiction of Enchodus,the “saber-toothed herring” featured toward the end of the book. There is also a chapter on the marine mammals that filled in the many niches left behind after the demise of the plesiosaurs and others. Great gift for anyone with an interest in these magnificent creatures.

Loved the format, loaded with information, pictures and diagrams of the sea monsters of bygone ages, millions of years ago... The paintings of the creatures are truly awe inspiringly beautiful. I highly recommend this book.

The illustrations and paintings are really wonderful. The text can get a bit weighted in scientific nomenclature, but for anyone interested in the reptilian sea life of the Mesozoic Era it is a great introduction, with a lot of detail without becoming leaden. Interested scientific laity from ten-year-olds to centenarians should find the up-to-date paleontology of interest. Brush up your metric measurements, it's translated from the French!

I am going to enjoy this book immensely I can tell already. Beautiful illustrations. Haven't read much beyond the captions but I will soon.
