I've now purchased three of these fans, both with and without the light cage. The wood blade options look a lot better than the one with the light cage. This purchase was for the option with the light cage, and the blades are plastic and look pretty bad. You can't tell from further away, however, not sure why they couldn't just have the same blades on this option as the others. After installing three of these fans, I can confidently say that the design of the space where the receiver slips in, below the electrical box in the ceiling, is poorly designed. A quarter of an inch of additional space would have made a world of difference. 60% of the installation time, in all three installs, was spent trying to maneuver the receiver unit into the incredibly tight space provided. The remote functions well, and the sound can be turned on or off. If a light switch is used, it resets to just the light turning on and off and the remote needs to be used to control the fan. Overall decent value for the options without the light cage. The option with the light cage is pretty cheap looking in comparison to the others.

It was time to update our old ceiling fans and since we live entirely with solar power, energy efficiency was a major consideration. These fans are equipped with a DC motor and total consumption on high speed is around 40 watts. The led lights are incredibly bright and dimmable - lighting wasn't a priority for me but I'm happy with them.Installation was easy although the first fan took the most time since I had to determine why the blades were dragging/rubbing against the motor housing. I found out that I had over tightened the bolts holding the blades in place and once I backed up on the bolts, the noise and dragging stopped. By the way, the blades cannot fall off since the light fixture acts as another safety feature as it is screwed into place below the blades. The remote control works well and from it's installation location on the wall, doesn't even need to be removed from the holder to function.The fans are amazingly quiet. It's easy to forget that it's turned on, it's that quiet. Overall I would highly recommend these fans to anyone wanting to move air throughout the house..... love them!

The media could not be loaded. Works and looks great. Originally this fan was on a dimmer switch. We thought the fan was faulty, but as soon as we changed the switch it worked great. The remote will dim the lights and allow you to control the fan so you don’t need the dimmer switch anyway.

Easy to install. If you’re remotely handy you’ll spend no more than 35-45 minutes putting it in. The spot at the top of the hanging bracket is for the remote receiver so make sure you keep the wires and nuts out of that area.Once installed I fired it up and was very pleased to hear nothing as it spun. Super quiet. It has an ocean breeze function that varies the speed and feels like you’re laying on a beach. I’d been drinking a little so that helped with the imagination part.Furthermore, I’ll be getting a larger version for my great room. The blades are solid wood and can be finished to whatever stain you prefer

I really like the style of this ceiling fan it's not your traditional, unattractive fan. The wood is high quality, and the noise level and airflow are perfect. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because of the remote. It’s a bit complicated, with too many buttons to remember, and you have to cycle through the light brightness when you turn it on. Installation was easy, and everything was included.

Modern design, attractive, perfect for any room. Very quiet and making how much air it moves.

UPDATE: Now the fans lights are pulsing periodically. The company had reached out and offered a full refund before changing to a light kit replacement. When I told them that I wanted the full refund, they send something incoherent in reply. Avoid these fans.Original review:I bought this over other fans because it mentioned a memory setting that would turn the fan to the same setting it was before it was disconnected from power. That is not the case; this fan has the same issue as many on this site. Each time the switch is flipped, it lights up with a different color temperature. It has to be one of the dumbest default features I have ever heard of. If the memory feature is optional, the instructions do not make it clear how to enable it. So disappointed after what was not an easy installation .
