Q: Would this TomTom be good for towing a horse trailer

I’d be more inclined to use a vehicle to tow the trailer. But seriously, this would improve your eta’s as you can set the maximum speed. So if you was to set it 50mph it would provide more accurate estimates on your arrival times. I don’t imagine that low bridges would be an issue but the ability to choose a route taking in account of the width could be a great advantage.

Q: Will it use a slower speed for a camper rather than a car, for example

Yes you can choose your max speed. My truck is restricted to 52mph and it calculates the time for this speed and readjusts on route for roadworks accidents etc.

Q: Is live traffic update free for life or one year? There is another version which offers one year?

I bought mine (6250) over a month ago, traffic has stopped working. Message says unable to connect to service tried their instructions and done factory reset. No luck. Also when in bus mode it still doesn’t see bus lanes. Not as good as I thought.
