Excellent low power board. Highly recommended.
I'm using this as a part time desktop PC, part time basic NAS for a few month now.Running Windows 10.I remote into a work machine so didn't need anything super powerful, but I'm surprised how well it runs. Replaced a 10 year old Q6600. Seems to handle most tasks with little effort.Good points:- Super cheap to run, when idle my machine is only using 11w. Normal usage around 15-16w (excluding monitor). Standby 5w. I'm using a TP Link Smart Plug to measure.- My machine runs almost silent. Apart from a case fan, and hearing the Toshiba disk spin up and down.- BIOS is super quick to boot. Windows loads in about 40 seconds.Only one downside I've found so far:I want to turn the machine off during the early hours when its not needed. 11pm-7am. But there is no option to set a start up time in the BIOS. As a work around I'm using my Smart Plug to start the machine which works fine.Highly recommend this board. Great if you want a low powered and capable machine.Using with this withCrucial 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 1866PICO PSU. 120wSamsung EVO 240 SSD.Toshiba 3tb storage HDD.Fractal Design Core 500 case.

No HDR support
Weirdly I've only given it four stars, but the only thing lacking is HDR support, and this is a big deal if your thinking of using this for an HTPC, otherwise a great board

Beware HDMI
Board is good, however there are issues with HDMI that can't be resolved in my case. I bought this device back in 2018, but due to the fixing the issue with the board it was replacing, I didn't use it until recently. When I did no signal at all on the HDMI port - after hours with ASROCK support, it turns out the LSPCON DP to HDMI 2.0 adapter is broken (a common fault apparently). I contacted bot ASRock and Amazon about the device, it being out of warranty bit was a bit of a punt, however ASROCK said no problem, just pay for shipping and we'll replace. Amazon said no, tough luck lol. Amazon and their trillions wouldn't help......

Good purchase
I bought this last November and after running Linux tried windows 10 with an SSD.This is quite a nippy motherboard and chip. I have had no issues with it and the joy is it is dead quiet. I do not run games but do basic computing and simple photo editing - all done without problems and little lag.Partnered with a small box, mini cd unit which I had spare, this is a good unit, if not a little pricy.Recommended

Works well
Bought this to build a little server machine and it works really well, does exactly what I expected.Main aim was low power usage and the board seems to use less than 15 Watts without hard disks.Very pleased.
