Cheaply made. Very small with no weight to it.
This desk lamp is very cheaply made and not substantial enough be stable sitting with a bulb without anchoring it down. It comes with a bracket to screw it down, but who wants to screw a hole in there desktop? It should be weighted and stand on it's own. Junk, not worth the price even though it's fairly inexpensive.

Works as intended. Lightweight and portable
This was so, so brassy/shiny when it arrived. That's how it looks in the photos, but in person, it doesn't look as good. (I also bought the black one, which I think I like better.) I taped the cord into the bag and taped over the socket and gave it a few very light coats of matte clear paint, which made it great for me. It is perfect to hold my emergency bulbs for hurricanes, and when I want to do some serious cooking, it illuminates the dark area of my kitchen. (I do elevate it to prevent problems.) The socket is more stable on this one than the other one I have. I like that they put a rubber washer where the cord enters the base. The base bottom is not covered but does have a bar to mount this light on the wall. Shame the screws that hold that mount don't match the lamp because they are quite visible. I used gold nail polish to test if that would look better. It did. I am sure paint would do the same, but who wants to buy a can of paint for two screws that I really don't need anyway? I am happy with this, even though it took a little work.
