I have bought this model and another one with a 12 inches tip for harder places to reach. I like this one because it’s compact like a marker size. It works perfectly, I intentionally let a stove burner release some gas and this device immediately sounded the alarm. It gives you in a screen an ascending bar of the gas intensity. When the gas starts dissipating the bars go down in the screen. I did a gas extension, after finishing installing the pipes and the fittings. I tested my job and no alarm at all. So, I don’t need to use soapy water and all that mess to make sure I don’t have a leak.

It works very well.

Installed the included batteries and put it to work. Immediately detected a leaky internal fitting on a gas stove that couldn’t be found with soapy water alone. A must have for anybody doing any kind of gas appliance work or maintenance!

It does the job as long as you are holding it within a couple inches of the leak or closer if its a very minor leak.

If you need something small the test anything with gas like propane or natural gas there great,,,I turned around and bought the first one to test in my section 8 housing where I’m learning a lot about section 8 section 8 is not for the landlords remember especially in my part of the country I wish I lived in Texas they’re more strict with their tenants but the gas detector is awesome if you don’t know what you’re doing it is fantastic
