Red, Quiet & Cooling
Whether these are effective will be system independent and as they went into a new case, I don't have anything to compare them against. They appear to work well enough on my new Novatech mid-size case that has one fan pulling air in from the front and one blowing air out at the top. In addition, there is the CPU fan and a small Novatech fan blowing air out the back.I ran a video transcoding for 20 minutes and with the 4 core / 8 threads at 100% the temperatures reached mid 70s. Also, I was able to listen to the radio on quiet during this without the fans causing a distraction. The reason for the new fans was that most the fans on my old case had died and when running a video transcoding, I realised the CPU was reaching high 80s early into the process. The cases are of a similar size although the Novatech case has better cable management and therefore airflow. On this bases, these fans appear to do their job, are quiet and the red glow is cool (sorry bad pun) but not over powering like the blue LEDs on my old case.Whether they are better than cheaper models or good value for money, I can't really say - but I've used Corsair memory for years without a problem - so it's a Brand I'd trust and as fans help protect the expensive components in the system - hopefully it's worth investing a little more for good ones.

Decent enough
If you are buying this range always remember that neither the SP or AF versions are silent. In both cases they try to balance noise to airflow needs. Use the SP with restricted flow such as into hard drives and the AF for clear flows and exhaust. With that in mind I would still tend towards Arctic F range if look is not an issue for slightly better performance with less sound at a better price. But where I want to add a bit of static colour on a build these are a good choice for decent cooling rate. The 140s particularly are quieter than their 120 counterparts while maintaining decent airflow. If money no problem moving up Corsair’s range to the MLs is a better option, but for a single colour LED fan this does the job well. I’ve built a number of systems with both 120 and 140 SP/AF fans and they are still working well years later too.Doesn’t alter my basic position on fans being Artic F range for basic fan needs, Noctua for high end where looks/cost do not matter, and Corsair ML for looks and colours as main choice. But if you don’t want to pay twice as much for single colour LED or want RGB fans at even higher cost, can accept that you will hear the fan if wanting good airflow but want some colour added, as long as you make the right choice between AF and SP this is a decent fan that does the job at an acceptable price point.

Great quality fans, unfortunately screws are too small.
I originally bought a "BitFenix 200mm Spectre PRO Fan with White LED" but found out upon delivery that it doesn't fit in my NZXT Source 530 case. Bought these instead and although 'in the numbers' a 200mm fan would've been better, these are doing a perfect job. In total created much better airflow into my PC and reduces internal temperatures of all components by about 10-15 degrees. The LEDs are quite bright but not 'blinding bright'. They shine well enough to create a nice effect from behind the filters of my case.Only reason I am giving it four stars is due to the screws that come with the fans. The mounts on the fans have 2 separate guide holes. The screws are short so that they only fit through one guide hole and into your case. Now I didn't have a screw driver that would fit into the first guide hole to allow me to screw the screws in, which meant I had to take apart my case entirely just to fit two fans. Fitting took forever. If I were to buy these again I would be sure to buy a pack of longer screws to save myself a lot of time. Or buy better screw drivers. :P

Red case at night, modders delight
I must say i do love Corsair products. As of yet I haven't come across a single Corsair product I didn't like, the Corsair Air Series SP140 is no exception. I purchased a 3 of these fans in total to compliment my Corsair 250D Case. I was going for a Red and Black themed build and added the red LED fans for extra impact in low light. They don't disappoint. The fans come in sturdy packaging from Corsair, they are encased in a rigid cardboard case with a plastic see through sleeve. In the box you will receive a single 140mm fan with a bag of retaining screws. I should point out that these are silver; if you have specific requirements for black or other colours, then you will need to provide your own. The cardboard packaging is quite durable should you decide to keep it to re-house your fans at a later date.Delivery for this item was next day due to it being an Amazon Prime item. The build quality of the fan is second to none, the LED are encased within the frame of the fan projecting their light into the fan blades whilst on. There is a single 3 PIN FAN CONNECTOR to power it and it comes with airflow direction arrows on the side of the fan housing. The sound on the fan is quite low whilst providing some air flow to your case.Overall I would recommend this to anyone wanting a decent Static Pressure fan, reliable, quiet and stylish with a good level of illumination for those looking for a themed look.

2 x Corsair White LED Fans in 1 Pack and just barely audible. Best bang for buck , imo.
These are 140mm Fans and you get 2 of the same color in each pack. You can choose between White, Red, Green, Blue and Purple for your Fan LED color. These fans spin at a nominal rpm of 1310-1380 and are 30 Decibels in loudness. I can put my ear next to the case and i can only just hear them, That`s the sound of the air moving. These are great for Intake case fans as they are decent for what you pay. Their are cheaper fans out their (£5-6 each), than these ones and more expensive ones (£15+ each), that cost you more than the cost of this pack with 2 for just 1 fan !! These work out £9 each at 2 in 1 pack for £18 (at the price of writing this). It would be nice if Cosair done the same model without the LED`s or a way to disable them without having to cut the wires to the 4 leds. I would buy more of these for another PC build as the quality is great, I rekon quality is the same as BeQuiet brand of Case Fans.
