This shelf unit was a little pricey, but my-oh-my was it worth every penny. Excellent quality of materials and design, clear instructions. Went together fast, and looks great. You'll be happy with this.

This furniture piece is a pleasant surprise. I never have high hopes for Amazon furniture buys, but this piece is nice! The material is good quality, its really sturdy, assembly was a breeze, and it looks great. I put this together by myself in about 15 minutes, thanks to the THOROUGH, well thought out, and helpful instructions. Reading the instructions made me feel like the seller actually cares about the quality of their product (a rare find these days). I am now searching for matching pieces from this seller.It's always so hard to know the quality of furniture you will get from an Amazon buy, and I've been disappointed in nearly every piece from other sellers. This is a good find. Buy with confidence!

PRO: This book shelf was exactly what I was expecting from a material point of view. I liked that it used honeycomb laminate to keep the weight down. The design is about as simple as it could be so assembly took about 15 minutes. Once together it feels very solid and strong and it looks nice.CON: The box was dumped on my porch by the delivery service with both ends crushed and appeared to have been taped up more than once, due to different types of tape used, but still burst open on one end where I could see the contents inside. I had very low expectations at this point but I took photos then opened it up to determine the damage. Thankfully the small parts were contained in a bag with a rope attached to the inside of the box so they were not lost. The top shelf was the only one damaged. Had a hole crushed in about the size of a persons heel. This was on the bottom side of the shelf and would not be visible unless you were 2 feet tall so I decided to pull the crushed in dent out and filling the inside with expanding foam. Worked great. This added about an hour to the assembly process and would not have worked for the top surface without being visible but I'll live with it. It is functional and looks good from above. Bottom line the packaging was really sub standard. The expanded polystyrene foam packing boards were way too soft and crumbly for this package. When opening the box the foam was in a million beads that went everywhere. My room looked like a bean bag chair had busted and spilled it's beans.

I'm so happy at how this came out. Not sure what it's made out of but it has the texture of wood and yet is fairly light. The shelf is very sturdy and the perfect size and height for my space.Putting it together was not hard. Instructions were clear. I did it alone (don't call the furniture police!) The only thing you'd need two people for is standing it upright after you finish putting it together. But honestly that was not very difficult.
