So there are plenty of comments about these claws being flimsy and bend too easily. I can say that this is not the case with the premium version I purchased. As you can see from the photographs you can see they have ample thickness of just under 2mm blade width to give that sturdiness. They also show I still know how to use a vernier calliper!! If you have trouble to pull the meat using these then your meat is not moist enough or over cooked & too tough. I pulled the two large pork butts shown in the picture that had been smoked for around an 8hr cook.Now these claws are good for gripping the meat to carry it out of the smoker or oven and also for initially tearing it BUT they will tear it into large chunks rather than a nice stingy shredded joint that goes further. This is due to the distance between forksI also found that because the meat is so juicy when cooked right the rubberised handles end up getting really greasy and that makes them awkward to keep a grip on.However they are very good at carrying a large joint of meat to prevent having to use a heat resistant glove etc which helps prevent potential contamination too. I found that the best way to use these for shredding was to use one to hold the meat in position and then use a smaller strong fork to get that nice shred that makes the meat go further.For the two reasons mentioned where they work well, holding meat and initial shred, I am very happy them. They are staying in my BBQ and creepy Freddie Krueger style Halloween costume arsenal.

They arrived within the promised time and were well packaged. The feel comfortable to hold & well made but we haven't used them properly yet. so can't say any more.
