Don’t buy this motor!
This is the first negative review I have written on Amazon. This motor is so bad I wanted to take the time to warn people. I have loved spectrum products and have used their products for years. So when I saw they made a 1:24th scale crawler motor I jumped at it. It took a a while to get because I’m currently serving in Africa. When I got it it was packed great and the motor looked amazing. It installed very easily. The first bad thing I noticed is it didn’t have a slow crawl at all. I could actually crawl slower with the stock motor. There is no way to tune it other then the trim settings in the transmitter. That helped a very small amount. The second bad thing I noticed is I was only getting 15 minutes of run time on a battery. With my stock motor I was getting well over a hour. The third and last think I noticed and what pushed it over the edge was after two days of use the motor stoped working. It powers up and gives the tone but it won’t move the wheels. I have 3 other 1:24 scale crawlers all with aftermarket motors and they have all worked great. I would return this motor but I’m on a base and don’t have a way to return it. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Go with any other brushless motor.

Good but could be great with another esc!
Definitely not for someone looking for ultra low speed performance. I bought this when you could get the combo for 15 bucks for that price I’d highly recommend it just for the motor, the real issue here is the esc, it’s very punchy and powerful but doesn’t have very good low speed control. If you have brass wheels and some other weight added to your truck just forget the spektrum esc it will cutout constantly because of the lack of power. I tried the motor with the hobbywing mini24 esc and it really makes it a great combo I have some cogging issues from time to time but that’s because the motor has only 2 poles but low speed control is phenomenal with that setup. You could most likely eliminate the cogging with one of the cheap aliexpress or amazon am32 esc’s that you can program pole count, kv, and other options to get rid of the cog. If you want a more trail oriented system go with the spektrum but only if you can get it for under 30 bucks because it’s barely any better than the stock setup.

Good for crawling
I haven't been able to figure out what people are hating about this motor system, it not glitchy at low speed cuz with my radiolink rc4gs I've got all the slow crawl and transition great for speed, right now my scx24 weighs 12.4 ounces and still getting heavier each week, the only things that I added was for weight is the injora ir60 24 body, hobbypark brass hex's and my 1100mah 2s lipo to my scx24

Jumpy at low speed
Put this motor and esc in an scx24 rock crawler..this setup is not very smooth at low speeds..its pretty jumpy at crawling speeds.not bad if you want to RIP around fast..No good for a crawler..

Not even worth it at $15.
Great size and fit, but that's where the positives end. Performance is lacking in all aspects. There is a dead zone from about 3% to 30% throttle where the motor doesn't turn. Any resistance will stall the motor.I have tried adding an external bec and/or fuzz buster, but the problem persisted.

Superb slow speed torque!
I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of this kit.

Twitchy at low RPMs
This little brushless combo was a direct swap for the stock system in the axial Ax24. Plenty of torque and plenty of top end! The downside of this whole system is the slow crawl ability. It’s very twitchy and jerky while trying to low crawl. It’s not smooth until you get in the higher rpm range! I was able to pick this unit up for 14.99 I know when it first hit the market it was $100.So at this current price range, I thought I’d take a shot it’s a decent system. It’s just not perfect.
