MECCANIXITY Fiber Optic Rods PMMA 1mmx20cm for Sight Filament Red, Green, Orange 1 Set Pack of 5

Worked perfectly to replace the Fiber on the front site of the (Dawson precision sight) of my Legion and at about the 1/3 of the price of what they want for "Sight Fiber" for Dawson precision sight replacement Fiber. The fiber is Bright and a perfect .040 replacement size for Dawson precision sight installation.

Used in making custom front sights for airguns -- they light up great outdoors, and pretty well indoors. No complaints.

Meccanixity fiber optic rods work great with easy cut and easy melt. Glow is sufficiently equal to factory sight rod. Seems like a lifetime supply for very little cash.

For how much you get, it’s good enough.The red isn’t really a red, it’s like a neon red or light pink. The uncut and unmelted stick looks to be very bright. Maybe that’s because it’s long and lots of light getting into one long piece. But as when shortened to length and melted the ends, the brightness seems to diminish. I’ll have to try it on a bright sunny day.

I lost the fiber in the front sight and I didn't want to replace the whole sight. I used a tooth pick and caliper to determine the size I should use.

Used this on a S&W 686. It has an aftermarket front sight. Of course the sight was missing the fiber optic. Bought this fit and works great. I highly recommend.

Is as it looks in the advertising, faded and not vibrant. This applies to all the colors.A few bucks gets you functional fiber rods in an array of colors, but none stand out. Bought these for my cz's but would only use in a pinch until a suitable replacement could be found. Truglo rods, despite being a bargain brand, show better.
