I used these in my 4th grade classroom this year for students that struggled with spending too much time on a question and they worked beautifully. The students would grab them when they started the assignment. When the started the first question, they would start the timer. Their goal was to be finished with the question before the timer ran out. When they started the next question they flipped it again. I think they would also work for students that go too fast. They are easy to read and not expensive. I kept them in a bin with some fidget toys for assessments and the students that needed them would grab them. I’m not sure how accurate they are but they helped my student that struggled with time management. She didn’t need to use it on every question, just ones she was stuck on so she had a visual reminder to not spend too much time on a question she was unsure about.

I bought this as an easy way to measure the "steep" time for hot tea instead of setting the microwave timer or just guessing. It is convenient to just flip over to time, is accurate, looks cute on the counter and is sturdy. Can't beat simple.

Such a helpful visual cue/tool for kids with learning disabilities. Motivating.

Bought these for my toddler to help facilitate transition times. Product works great, however, the hourglass is made of glass, and the glass is weakest at the neck of the two sections. My toddler threw a timer, and the glass shattered and sand and glass went everywhere. I would NOT recommend these for trying to train/work with kids who have tantrums.

These timers are perfect for grilling and general cooking without messing with complicated battery timers or even a smart phone. Good quality product.

I've been using this while i wash the dishes to prevent my hands from getting overly dry and to not spend an excessive amount of time washing dishes!Helps me block out my time for responsibilities!

I bought these for an IEP student I work with, and they were perfect. Would have rated higher but the 1 minute timer (which was needed for this student) arrived broken and the sand got all over my living room.

I tried the 30-minute hour glass and timed it with my phone. When I went back to the kitchen to check after 30 minutes, the sand somehow got stuck and the timer didn’t work.

I really like this 5-minute timer the way it's made and the vibrant blue sand. Sadly though, it's missing 7 or 8 seconds worth of sand (I ran an electronic timer against it to check its accuracy). That is the reason for 4 stars and not 5. Not the seller's fault, but the manufacturer clearly didn't measure the amount of sand required for an accurate 5 minute's duration. It's not hard! 🤷‍♂️ 1 or 2 seconds ok, but not 8.
