Clear knowledge organiser - check your schools year 8 science curriculum
This a compact and well designed knowledge organiser. Each double A5 page spread has information on the left hnad page (broken up with images or clear diagrmas) with a set of corresponding retrival questions on the right hand page. This book is great for helping students memorise key facts in science and is not designed to develop deeper understanding (for example there are no explain or devise style questions in the book). The biggest thing to double check is the content being covered in your schools year 8 science lessons as content will vary from school to school. For about £6 this is a little more costly than other well know brands alternitive KS3 knowledge organisers (Such as CGPs KS3 knowledge orgainser and retrival question pack for abotu £10).

Quick Reviews!
I was surprised that this book was so small when compared with the KS2 books I've used from this brand and other brands, yet it still packs in plenty of information, examples, and exercises. The data and text is very clear and more appropriate for the increased age range of the audience. The sections are fairly bite-size with only a minimal amount of relevant information per subject, but the range of subjects is extensive - you are encouraged to look outside the text for further questions and to continue your studies on anything you struggle with.Science as a subject was not covered in great detail in Primary school with my kids, but now that one is in 'big school' there is a lot of new information to take in and a new mindset to adopt in exploring this. While classroom study and teachers will always be the best method, this guide certainly helps and offers some independent learning.

An excellent series of study books
I’ve found this series of books to be excellent revision tools both for me and my nephew. Having already seen a couple on other subjects, I ordered this book to help me refresh my own knowledge so that I help my nephew with understanding of this subject. Not everyone is a natural at all subjects and this has been a brilliant help in making sense of some of the more trickier elements for him.A real bonus for me too, I particularly enjoyed the sections on the body. It’s a small book (A5) and you can easily tuck it into a smallish bag and it also fits in my laptop case.Simple and concise, the book covers the basics of all the subject areas and at £5.55 an absolute bargain.

Very useful!
Handy book to revise the basics and refresh the memory. The information is concise with examples. The images are bright and relevant. It has yellow boxes that have the fundamentals. It’s an A5 size and covers all 3 sciences. At the back it has mixed questions and the answers

Valuable text for those in Year 8
I'm something of a scientist myself, okay, I have two science degrees and work in science and engineering, so I like to think I know something about various science subjects. This book covers a range of sciences taught in schools (biology, physics, a spot of chemistry - and within those broad categories touches on a range of sub-subjects (honest I am a real scientist)) and is of great help in revision or aiding in the recall of information. It's not really a teaching aid, but more a reminder sort of book, and this is where it can become quite valuable. The book is easy to read and understand, particularly for the target group it is aimed at, and full of great diagrams, etc.

Nice, succint summaries.
These are A5 size books but have smaller size font so contain the same amount of content on a page as other A4 revision books. Most topics are double page- with one page for organise (revise what you have learnt in class) and the 2nd page for retrieve (test your knowledge). Even within the one page they are broken down into smaller distinct chunks. At the back of the book is a mixed questions section to further check your understanding, and scientific skills section and the answers. The answers are shown in colour and are easy to follow. The book is split into 3 sections- biology, chemistry and physics- these are colour coordinated with a band along the top so can be easily flicked to in the book.
