Decent. Could be Better
These were such a great price I decided to get them. I use hog rings to build wire cages, enclosures, etc. Had a pare from anther brand so I could compare. These wouldn't close a 3/8" ring fully. They would make the two ring ends meet and start to overlap slightly, but then the rings would slip out of the cups in the plier head on both pairs. I'd have to reposition the pliers and crimp again to get a satisfactory overlap. Same result with 1/2" and 3/4" rings.I solved the problem by using a round head diamond grinder bit in my Dremel tool to grind the cup deeper in the heads of the pliers. After id removed a about a 0.016" from the center of the inside of the cups on both sides of the plier heads, the rings were crimping almost as good as my other brand pair.Outside of that, they seem well made and sturdy. Been using for 3 months and they are still working well. For the price, I couldn't pass them up, but if you don't have the tools to modify, might want to pass on these.

Not very good
Most of the time the ring slips out of these before fully closing.

Very disappointed
I tried both pair, and they both spit the hog ring out the front before bending it. They were stainless steel, but even the cheapest ones I own work without a problem. These need a major redesign, I tried slow, fast, everything possible. But they are just junk period!
