I had smelled the sandalwood aftershave creams and balms at The Art of Shaving, but was hesitant to spend $40.00 on aftershave because....well, it's just aftershave. I ordered this based on the reviews and I'm extremely satisfied with it. It has a very rich, natural sandalwood smell that is very pleasing. It's not overpowering, but seems to have just the right amount of body and strength. I'll definitely be ordering this one again!

I have been using this product for years. My most recent purchase of the aftershave does not smell like sandalwood, at all. Maybe it is a bad batch.

Worked great had a bit of a kick. Scent wise it didnt last very long. Literally the only downside for me. I tend to like products that have witch hazel so this will be in my rotation.

The smell it has is nice but not strong enough ,nor does it last very long

I used this last winter when I was using sandalwood bath and shaving soap. It has a pleasant fragrance. I would definitely buy it again.

Some sandalwood-scented products smell more like perfume than sandalwood. This product smells great -- like actual sandalwood! It's just typical alcohol-based aftershave, so it works like most other products, but it doesn't smell like perfume. My wife goes crazy when I wear this stuff.

I bought the sandalwood version. I was really looking forward to receiving this. Unfortunately, it stinks. I thought it might just be a personal dislike, but I had my wife smell it as well. Her description of the odor was "old rubber."I tried it on my skin just to see if the odor faded into something pleasant, but no such luck. Maybe I got a bad bottle... The other reviewers all commented on how nice it smelled, so that could be a possibility depending upon the lot size.As it stands, mine is going in the trash.

I will buy again because of the authentic Sandalwood Scent which my Wife and I love!!!!!!...I love the way it cools my face after shaving!!!...Like I said I will use no other Aftershave again!!!!!!...This paired with Fire Cologne for men makes for a great smell on me!!!...Three words Buy a Bottle!!!

This is a great scented aftershave that isn't just alcohol and water. While it does have alcohol, it also has witch hazel and aloe vera, which help as a mild astringent and the aloe helps soothe the skin. I typically follow this up with some sort of moisturizer as with all aftershaves with alcohol. Essentially after every shave one should disinfect any minor nicks or even nicks that may not be visible and then protect the skin by moisturizing it with something like a balm or cream.In terms of scent, the Sandalwood in this isn't your cologne or perfume-based sandalwood, which isn't sandalwood at all. The sandalwood scent in this is much more organic smelling by which I mean it initially starts out smelling like tree bark and then changes into the great masculine scent of actual sandalwood. The scent tends to last no more than an hour or two so you need not worry about it clashing with a good cologne you may be wearing that day.

I gave this after shave a go as I love sandalwood very disappointed with this product the smell only lasted one or two mins very cheap but I guess you get what you pay I would not recommended this I say pay a little more money and your get an after shave that last

Very good, pure, natural sandalwood scent, nothing else or added. I am planning to buy more in the future!

I was tentative about purchasing something like this online, especially due to some people finding the scent terrible. However, I like it. Scents are subjective. Of course the alcohol affects the smell, so sniffing the bottle doesn't give an accurate scent. You need to splash it on, let it evaporate and you are left with a nice many scent. It works okay as expected.Actually, I was surprised - that this came from Sweden... (!?)

Fragrance? What fragrance? I apply the lotion after shaving and it does seem to leave my skin refreshed but I think this might only be psychologically induced. I have a good olfactory sense but am unable to detect ANY sent whatsoever. The item WAS shipped expeditiously and was well packaged.
