Studio 71 Acrylic Painting Set – Deluxe Art Set with Portable Wooden Case, 27-Pieces

I got this for my boyfriend last christmas! he had mentioned wanting to get back into painting after years of being inactive. It is a great set that we actually started using together. It has a good selection of colours although the containers are pretty small if you are painting bigger canvases. the brushes were perfect for starters and it got my boyfriend motivated to start painting again. He now paints on a regular basis and even sells his art. So this items truly paid off!

giving it only 3 star because of the product packaging, The paints sit loosely in a very thin plastic insert inside of a wooden case. When you open the box, a handful of paints come flying out at you. While the case is open, you can take the time to put the paints away neatly and as soon as you close the case up, stuff shifts around and sometimes comes flying out before you can even close it. As for the quality of the paint?! Well, this is my learning purchase so I don't have a scale to base it off of. I have not really painted anything with it yet either, so this review is mainly on aesthetics I suppose. I used the black tube and the chincy paintbrush that was included to touch up a previously spray painted sign carving. Did the job. If I were to stand back and give a description, I would say "if you are looking for paints to replace your current empty paint containers, this might work for you" Cant really say much more about it.

Really like this kit except why bother making slots to hold paint when nearly NONE of the slots can actually hold the tubes of paint!!! Whomever designed the holder should have paint poured over them until they admit they were drunk that day! Otherwise a great starter kit or a great kit for someone as stunningly talented as myself who simply does not want to spend a lot to get the art out of me.

Everything is fine except the 3 brushes, they don't work at all.

I got this for my wife who has an interest in painting, but did not want to spend a lot of money trying to figure out if its just a passing thing. The kit had everything she needed to get started; stretcher canvas or medium not included ;-)

My 4 year old loves this! He loves the “breif case” and the pallet. The brushes are a joke but a couple of dollar store paint brushes would do the job. I do think that it’s worth the $20 bucks especially if it’s for a kid.

Nice set in a nice box, but the paints do not stay in place when trying to close the box, so that makes it a problem to work with. Otherwise, very nice.

It was the perfect for my 7 years old daughter who is a beginner. She just loves it. I would highly recommend it..
