Great to have and can learn more

I like this book but more than that here is why:1. The book is written with explanations that are easily grasped2. Counter to my fiction reading, the accent that comes through in the book makes things interesting. I can "hear" the writer explain things.3. Explanations make it easy to pick this up after looking at other areas of focus. It is difficult for me to switch gears between intense hardware reading and software reading. The book acclimates me pretty well.4. This is not a "Jump-in-and-do-it-immediately" book. I get the history and the reasons behind what is being explained, which I appreciate. That way when I do something, I am that much better at what I am doing.Is this for a beginner? Maybe not a truly fresh beginner. I have about a month of solid C and Hardware study under my belt and sometimes I need to read or reread a paragraph.The reason I purchased this book is that I noticed that Eastern European (don't shoot me if I get this wrong) videos are generally pretty explanatory and that the individuals are able to fully relate their subjects to the viewer (being me). This book is no different and I would recommend it to someone in the same position as I am: a somewhat new person to the world of AVR chips and Serial/USB communication.

Very good straight and to the point

Much less Linux material than I had hoped. Almost exclusively Windows. If I was more of a Windows developer I would probably rate this more positively.

I found this explained the subject matter extremely well.
