Good Variator Kit, I Would Generally Recommend.
This Variator fits my 105cc TaoTao Quantum Tour Scooter. It comes with both "halves" that make up the pulley, with the outer side of the front piece having the "fan-like" appearance. The other half is where the 13g black rollers ( I did not weigh them) are located along with the back plate. It comes with one spacer bushing. My best thought on these variator kits available online is to carefully read ALL the descriptions and look closely at the photos. I have bought a total of 3 variator kits and one complete clutch & variator kits. I ended up having to mix and match some of the parts. I initially purchased a Glixal kit with the red 13g rollers. It appears to be sufficient, however, I did not prefer the flip-side of the one half ( the fan-looking side) of the one piece which makes up half the pulley. The reason why is because the "fan-blade looking" edges extend further than the circumference of the smooth-shiny portion of the inner side. This is shown in the photo of the bike with all the parts on the ground. However, this product, Glixal variator kit has the half of the pulley with the reverse side "fan-looking" piece where the "fan-blade" looking things extend only to the edge of the circumference of the machine rounded pulley piece. This might be just my opinion and I do not necessarily have any proof, but in my opinion these fan-blade looking halves that extend beyond the rounded machine edges are not as good as this product which does not extend. My reasoning is that because the edges extend further on some others, it leaves a risk of the belt catching those edges if it's not running correctly or failing, which will catch the belt and possibly shred it. My original OEM part was one with the "fan-blade" looking side that stopped at the edges and did not extend beyond the circumference of that pulley side.Since the first Glixal kit with the red 13g rollers I bought had the "fan-blade" looking piece which extended beyond the circumference of the pulley piece, I used this the piece from this product Glixal Variator Kit with the "fan-blade" looking piece that did not extend beyond the machined surfaced side of the circumference of that half. I mixed it with the other half of the Glixal Kit I have with the Red 13g rollers and I also used the spacer that came with this kit as well. This Glixal Variator kit comes with the BLACK 13g rollers. In comparison to the Glixal variator kit that comes with the red 13g rollers, I did not see any difference between the black rollers verses the red ones (except the color of them). That appears to be the only difference between both Glixal Variator kits. There is however, one exception, the quality of the workmanship of Glixal Kit with the BLACK Rollers (this product) seems to be not as good because as noted in the photos, the machining is NOT as precise and the product arrived with MACHINED scuff markings on both sides of the machined pulley areas. Now, I don't know if the one I received was just a random one that slipped through their quality control, or not, but the machining should be smooth on both halves and not have machined scuffing on them. Since I wanted to use the one half of this kit, I decided that I would put that piece on and leave the other half from the more precisely and better quality machined, "red roller" kit from Glixal on the the bike.So far, I haven't noticed any performance issues, and time will tell as to the condition of the variator as a whole. I did give this product four stars because I didn't think there was as good of quality of workmanship as the other Glixal product with the red 13g rollers I recently purchased. This 13g Black Roller Kit could have been machined more precisely and/or they should review their quality control methods better. In comparison to the other cheaper "generic" variator kits, the Glixal product appears to have much better overall quality in terms of materials. Since I didn't use any parts from those generic models I had purchased because I didn't like the "fan-blade" half on those either, it's hard to make a full comparison. However, after having a total of four variators in hand and inspecting them, I decided that the Glixal parts appeared to be made with better quality materials, so I used those, but from a combination of two different Glixal kits (the 13g Black roller kit (this one) and the 13g red roller kit they also offer).Overall, I would recommend purchase of this product because of the "fan-blade" looking halve is better. This product has the "fan-blade" looking edges that stop at the end of the circumference of the rounded surface. OR, if you are unsure what your original variator looks like since you might not likely take it apart until you have your parts in hand, you might want to purchase both the Glixal black and red kits and then decide based on what style the "fan-blade" looking part is. Maybe it may not matter to you at all which this product would then be sufficient. I am of the opinion that matching parts as closely to an original part is best since it was made that way for a reason. Also, for those of you trying to decide how many grams your rollers should be, my 150cc is a TaoTao Quantum Tour and the original OEM rollers are 13 grams. You can research online about the different weights offered as they affect performance in different ways which is just a personal preference on what you would like your bike's performance to be.Overall, this is a good Variator kit, keeping in mind my notes above. I gave it 4-stars because I believe the workmanship could have been better for this kit, or they need to pay closer attention to their quality controls. I Would Highly Recommend this product, with the noted caveats listed above.
