This is the first time I found a roll of replacement screen material that was this wide and it makes it really convenient and easy to fix some of the larger screens of mine that needed replacement. The 48 inch width is perfect for my bay / bow window screens, and obviously it can also be trimmed down for the more typical window sizes.

I have purchased a lot of screens in the past. Happy to have this large package of screens. The price is of great value. Screen damage is very common if there are lots of activity around the house. Replacing screens is a relatively easy job. The screen is regular vinyl screen. Not sure if it's meaningful to describe it as solar. It can't block the sun as it is intended to allow air flow, so it will not block sunlight or offer UV protection. It also won't block moisture as that's with the air flow, but it will definitely keep mosquitos out.

I bought this in June, just got around to opening the package. This product blocks out no more than my regular screens that this was to replace.

The screen material was not a sun shading material. It was just a standard black screen type.
