Disappointed. Too many issues for almost $100 earmuffs
1/2 star. Firstly it makes no sense to have to scroll through 20 preset channels. I question wether I have that many stations available. Def be better with like 5 presets for an A/B select so you only have to scroll through 5, or switch to preset b to go through another 5 presets. Which brings me to the reception. Less than great with static feedback. 3rd issue is the non-interchangeable microphone. You could have made the cord a half inch longer so it could switch sides. Lastly it seems silly to have a constantly shown time/battery display on a battery powered headset. Nobody wants to waste battery and have to take their headset off to check the time. Especially when they seem like battery hogs already. Seriously considering returning these. I thought for sure spending $90 on them would have covered those things but I guess cheap outweighs quality these days. Omg and the volume +/- signs are backwards. So many issues. DO NOT BUY7/5/2019 update, batteries die in a few hours or less and bluetooth wont stay connected

Volume not limited to OSHA 85dB limit, these will play LOUD!
I bought our 1st set last spring to replace 3M 85dB limited [OSHA Standard] analog tuner headsets. We liked this digital set so much better we bought a second set. Used primarily while cutting lawn [4 acres] and wearing to NASCAR races. Unlike the old 85dB limited muffs, we can now very clearly listen to the race radio broadcast, over the noise of the race, while sitting in the grandstand watching the race. PROS: [1] Not limited to 85dB inside the muff and being able to hear clearly over mower/race noise, [2] digital tuner so much nicer than the analog tuner. [3] I like the LED screen, it keeps time and it's nice to be able to see and select from stations and digital tuner holds on to a station providing clear music and broadcast. [4] can program up to 19 preset stations [5] Bluetooth syncs well with my Samsung Galaxy smart phone. [6] Boom mike actually works wile talking on the smart phone. [7] Very comfortable to wear for hours. CONS: [1] It uses 3 AAA batteries, time of day and preset stations lost every time the batteries are changed, [reason for 4 star rating]. I wish it also had a 'button cell battery' to retain memory while the AAA batteries are changed. In conclusion: Would I buy this again .... I already have! My wife and I both have a set to wear to the races. I highly recommend.

Forget the microphone
As for hearing protection, great. The am/fm radio works great. So does the BT streaming. BUT the microphone feature is a major con! Have attempted a number test calls through my cellphone via BT......No one can hear me, they only hear major crackling.

Bluetooth sound very poor
The product was in good condition when received. Set up was pretty easy. They are cheaply made. The first time I tried to put them on the ear pieces pulled loose from the metal shafts that they adjust on. Once on, the radio worked well. When trying to use the bluetooh connection (answering calls, or listening to music from the phone) the volume is extremely low. You can barely hear anything at all. Checked all the settings on the phone concerning the volume. Every thing on that end was fine. I would not recommended these for any Bluetooth function. Not happy with them at all.

Not as good as I'd hoped
Opened it up and inserted some batteries. Hooked it up to my Galaxy S10 and was able to get some music going. volume is controlled both by the dial on the headset and by the phone. Had both maxed out and I was able to hear the music, but not as loudly as I would have liked. Went to shut it off and put it away and the power button does nothing.Tried it out today mowing, its intended use. Cancellation is better than nothing but not great. Can hear my music fine but would like it to be louder than it is. Had to take the batteries out to put it away. Not bad, just not great. Will use it until it dies and try something else

it's nice, would have been nicer if it took double ...
it's nice, would have been nicer if it took double a batteries instead. Also it doesn't need over twenty selections for channels. Think max of 6 would work. I only need three and since changing is hard while it's on your head. Kinda defeats purpose ear protection when I have to take them off to change the station.

Loosing Programmed Stations
The PROTEAR Bluetooth,AM/FM Digital Radio mechanism working fine the beginning. However, was having problems storing the stations, placing the number inside the bracket [ ] and following the directions it jumps to the next number, pressing the "UP" and "down" has been a bit Troublesome. The next problem has to do with the amount of time the charged batteries last, only couple bars left after a day of usage. And the most difficult problem has to be losing the programed stations.I have used Head phones from Radio Shack for years and never had to go back and reprogram some 10 to twenty stations.I believe you did show a different model that charged the batteries within the unit itself. When you are in your seventies, that is a big problem. If there is a solution, let me hear it. Thanks. jecroom@gmail.com
