I had ZERO issues with these fasteners or the screws. I haven’t used the much more expensive other brand.I used used them with composite decking laid on top of pressure treated joists covered in JOAPRIL Butyl Deck Tape (also bought on Amazon)The screws went in easily with my impact driver and the deck is nice and tight!

Worked like a charm - the trick is to set them with a drill that has a clutch on it - NOT an impact drill.Get them close to tight, then place next board and then hit the last 10% to snug the two boards up.

Worked excellently with Trex Basic. Used 2000 without any issues!

These were a great alternative to the higher priced Trex brand. They looked identical to me and they worked well.

Work well on my Trex decking would given it 5 stars but the screw head are made of softer metal and hade a bunch strip out, but I still saved a lot of money

Just finished building my first Trex deck. These made this such an easy and neat looking job. If your deck is going to be fairly large this is the way to go, way cheaper than the box stores for the exact same item.

I used a total of 1250 of these hidden fasteners on a 800 sq/ft deck this summer.I used Trex deck boards and these fasteners worked just as well as the Trex brand and at nearly half the price.The screws are not torx (star) drive but they are robinson (square) drive.I think I actually prefer the robinson drive on these smaller stainless steel screws - I didn't strip a single one!And yes, the screws are indeed stainless steel (tested with a magnet) and the head of the screw is painted black so they are as discreet and don't catch your eye at all.

Clips arrived in a nice big bucket. Screws are already in clips which made it super helpful. There a few that the screws had come out but I would say 95% of them had the screws in. Comes with 2 bits, i eventually found them in the bucket when I had used enough of them. Screws will break if you over tighten them like any other screw of this diameter. I only snapped 2 of the hundreds I used. Gave good consistency to spacing of boards.
