I would recommend this camera to anyone, great product at an excellent price.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This camera had the features that I was looking for at a very affordable price.Quality:Fantastic. Bought it for my 2 week trip to France and it took professional quality photos and videos.Design:I thought it would be bulky when I received it but it was very easy to handle and the 4 AA batteries last a long time.Clarity:Wonderful in different light conditions, takes longer to take pics when dim light so you have to hold the shot longer.Zoom capability:Good on zoom, once you go to the digital zoom trouble focusing. Other than that no complaints.Size:Looks large but very easy to handle.Brightness:Took wonderful pictures.

Great Starter Camera
Fantastic starter camera for the price. Yes, it's an older model, but I'm able to do so many things. For example, I can take photos of birds, zoom in on the airplanes that pass my house, and even capture perfect images of the moon. It takes some time getting used to and some settings are harder to navigate, so I suggest watching some videos on DSLR settings. It comes with a strap but mine just wouldn't get on, but that's probably my problem.

Amazing zoom!
I bought this for it 43x zoom, not understanding the impact of optical and digital zooms. The first time I used it I was astonished to see the zoom go past 43x all the way to 160x!The zoom was so strong I took a freehand shot of the moon that night, i.e. no tripod and was well impressed. I'm looking forward to finding out what I can see when the space station passes overhead.I do feel resolution decreases on the optical zoom side and I'm not certain colors are recording as vibrantly as I see them but I'll continue to experiment. The factory setting was to record to the camera memory which caught me out on the first trip, filling up after a half dozen shots but there's a setting to copy to memory card which resolved that.

WARNING! DO NOT BUY!
This camera was CRAP (as so is Amazon's extremely rude and offensive Supervisors when you try to get help)When I purchased this junk and inserted the sd card the camera kept reading "error" and would not format the card that was ordered as part of the package nor would it work with any of my cards. After spending half an hour with Amazon"s "tech support" and going through all of their "test" they advised me to return the camera (not) the card because the "camera was faulty" and that they would send me another camera. I tested the second camera and it ALSO was DEFECTIVE. If you purchase this camera Amazon and their 'customer service" reps and Supervisor's will make it as hard as possible to get a refund and will be as rude and NASTY as possible while doing so including often hanging up on the call after wasting your time putting you on hold for 15 and 20 minutes at a time. I must now wait an ADDITIONAL ((2 weeks)) I was told to even get a refund making this ordeal with Amazon close to an entire MONTH just to process this not to mention their lies about delivery times and pickups. (I ultimately had to do both myself as their "customer service" staff were incompetent with even the simple task of verifying my email address. My advice: begin looking at other alternatives than Amazon and by ALL MEANS: Stay away from ANYTHING sold by KODAK! As promised I will be posting an extensive review of both Kodak and Amazon on my products and services review on my website and my youtube channel (64,000+ subscribers) to notify and warn customers how AMAZON treats it's customers and how bad KODAK cameras are.

Nice camera, but no chip in it
Seems to be a great little camera for what I want to do with it. Maybe I missed it...I dont know, but I dont know what size chip to put in it...a 32GB or a 64GB and in the setup part of the paper work, I did not see what size it takes. The camera comes with no chip...why?

Camera ok....lots of other problems.
The camera arrived in good condition. There was not a usb transfer cable in the box as it was supposed to have. So.....I am having to go tomorrow and buy another to fit. The disk advertised as "customers also purchased" did not work in the camera. After extensive hunting I was able to find out the 128gb they advertise is totally worthless for this camera. You can't use anything over 32gb. Period. So now I have to go to an Amazon return center to send that back. I have an old 16gb in my other camera...it works fine. I am hoping this camera will operate as advertised........So far , not impressed with the seller or the false advertising by Amazon.
