It’s a hit!
My 4 year old grandson loves it and counts the dominos as they drop out of the train. It takes some patience to stack them in the train…thoroughly enjoys it.

Fun but you aren't going to be making the tight spirals shown in the photos
This does a surprisingly good job of setting up a line of "dominoes" to topple. There are a lot of pieces supplied but the dispenser holds only a small fraction of them. You'd have to stop the train and reload quite a few times to dispense all the provided pieces. That would be quite tricky to do without leaving a large gap and/or prematurely knocking down the pieces that were set up. The train is turned by twisting the smokestack. The turning radius is limited. You can't make the tight spirals you see in the product photos. My just turned 4 granddaughter can load the "dominoes" by herself but she prefers talking me into doing this boring task for her. She has the patience to wait while I get the train to create a line of "dominoes" that she then knocks over. Interest in the toy seems to have faded fairly quickly after the first few days but she does still come back to it from time to time.

for children older than 3
When I saw this toy, I thought it looked so cool and couldn't wait to get it for my grandson. When I received it, the box was smaller than I expected so I opened it. The "dominos" are much smaller than regular dominos but you get a lot of them. It came with no instructions so I decided to test it before giving it to my grandson. The power switch is the single bolt in the front of the train. The front panel of the chute that the dominos go into slides off (I was snapping it on and off until I figured out it slides). I did not completely fill the chute the first time and it immediately jammed. So, I filled the chute to capacity and it worked exactly as advertised. It says that this train is appropriate for 3+ but I am not so sure a 3-year-old has the patience or dexterity for it. You cannot continue adding dominos as the train releases them so once it is empty, you have to turn the train off and refill the chute. As I mentioned, there a LOT of mini dominos so you can create a very long trail but the child will be stopping the train—and leaving it there so not to lose their place, filling the chute then running it again—repeatedly. My grandson is barely 3 years old so I am questioning whether to give this to him now or save it for when he is 4 or 5. However, it is a very cute toy and inexpensive. It doesn't seem super durable either so if the child is rough with toys it might not last long.

Fun toy train
This train is great, it leaves the dominos ready to push over and is easy to reload. My kids love seeing it move along and pushing down the dominos it sets up.

Fun train makes it easy to setup "dominoes". Younger children may need supervision. 4 1/2 stars
Ever spent lots of time setting up some dominoes only to watch them fall in mere seconds? This battery powered train makes it much easier to set them up. Just load them into the chute and it dispenses them for you. You can control the trains path by turning the chimney knob. The dominoes themselves are not actual dominoes but lightweight plastic pieces that are similar in size. The train has sound effects and lights and you can see the gears moving in the front of the engine when moving. It comes with 180 dominoes and a magazine to load them into. Young children may need help loading the magazine. Also included is a cactus barricade to create a directional change. You will need to supply two AA batteries to power the train. Great toy that creates a good opportunity for bonding. I saw it today at 13% off and there was a 25% off coupon available which makes it a good value for the money. I give it 4 1/2 stars.

Great toy for 3 year old
My grandson how is almost four is obsessed with trains and so when I saw this I was hoping it would be a big hit.He quickly learned now to load the dominos, but prefers if Grandma does it of course. It was a little frustrating as the train does not make the tight loops like it displays, but we still have fun with it.It would be nice if you could load more dominoes at once.Over all this has provided a great learning opportunity for him and loads of fun.

works like advertised
The train was delivered with the box bent in on one end, but the train was unaffected. There are no instructions included but it is pretty easy to figure out by looking at the box. It requires 2 AA batteries. The dominos are easy to load, and the train can be turned in different directions by the smokestack. There is a small direction tool that can be placed on the smokestack to make it easier to change directions while the train is moving. The train is turned on by pressing the button on the front of the train. We used a big piece of cardboard on our living room carpet. You can create any number of different designs from circles to letters and numbers. It is a great way for kids to use their imaginations and creativity.
