Bought two of these to replace old, decaying rug pads. I was attracted by the claim they would be easy to trim, and they certainly were. I was able to trim them in a very straight line with a sharp pair of office scissors. It's only been a few days, but they seem to keep the rugs in place. The only downside is that, in spite the claim of being "extra thick", they are actually so thin that they really provide no feeling of extra cushioning at all. Maybe not the best choice if you have downstairs neighbors (like we do) and want to muffle your footfalls.

Came packaged nice, I ordered the 8x10 and it's exactly what we needed for our hardwood floors. Can't feel the padding under the rug and now the rug doesn't slip even with 250lbs running and trying to intentionally slide the carpet to see if it will move. Will buy these for my other rugs! It kind of smells when you unpackage it but the smell went away within the hour. Worth the buy!

Have to readjust the rug every two or three days. It doesn't quite want to stay put. Slowly inches its way to the side. But it's definitely better than falling on your... Well you get the idea. (Definitely the rugs fault. Cannot move it laterally once it's late on the stone in the kitchen.)

Got the non slip rug pad and cut it with a regular pair of scissors about one inch smaller than the rug on all sides. Works great!
