Nice shoe, durability is a concern
I was looking to explore some of the "minimalist" shoe options out there and came across this brand that was rated pretty well. I liked the look of the shoe and they were only about $40 so the investment was minor. The Positives:-- The shoe came very quickly and fit as expected! I typically wear a size 10, that is what I ordered, and length wise it fit great. It does take some getting used to the "extra" room in the toe box due to the extra width there. But once you start wearing them and your feet learn to adjust, they were fine.-- Bottoms are super grippy and have a lot of traction as you can see from the pic-- Loved the color. They looked just like their pictures when I got them.-- Very flexible and have a "minimalist" feel to them compared to my normal shoes-- I have been able to run and workout in these shoes with no problem. Like I said previously, mostly just the adjustment period of getting used to a wider shoe. You kind of feel like your foot is sliding around in the toe box initially. Sock make a bit of difference here too.The Negatives:-- The primary, and at this point, only negative is quality. I have had these shoes for only about 3 weeks and as you can note from the last picture, the lace pulled right through the rubber lace hole. Currently no other areas that are defective or coming apart. The fortunate piece to this is that these shoes have so many other holes farther down that I was able to just re-lace it on a lower hole. I have been able to keep using the shoe for running and workouts. Not sure if or when there will be other areas that become defective that will render the shoe useless, time will tell. But for now, they are functioning as advertised.Final thought:-- If you are considering getting into the minimalist shoe game and are hesitant to start out on a name brand that costs triple to quadruple what these cost, this is a great low investment way to go to trial it.As the saying goes, "you get what you pay for". Quality and durability may be in question here but for the price, I'm not overly butt hurt if I only get a few months out of these shoes.Depending on how these hold up with general use over the next few months, I would consider these successful and would purchase again.

very disappointing
I read all of the reviews and I was really eager to try these out. I couldn't have been more disappointed. First off, I've been wearing Vibrams for about 8 years now and with the pandemic, I've worn either Vibrams or nothing for about the past 15 months. I do a lot of walking and go though shoes pretty quickly, so I was hoping for a less expensive minimalist shoe. I know I can't do a fair, direct comparison between the 2 brands, but as an alternative, they should have fit the bill for simple walking.Initially, these fit fine and felt fine. The sole is quite a bit thicker than Vibrams, but that's OK and I knew they probably need to be broken in a bit before they felt "natural".My first walk was about 3 miles and I didn't wear socks (other reviewers noted they also don't wear socks). Well. I got a huge blister on my left foot near the base of my big toe and my heel on the same foot was sore as well.I took a day off and then decided to give them another try, this time with socks. As I started walking, I noticed my heels were slipping out of the shoes. I stopped and re-tied them a bit tighter and started walking again. My heels kept slipping out again and my feet felt tremendously fatigued and started cramping. I stopped, loosened both sets of shoelaces. snugged them up a but, but not too tight, started walking again, same situation happened. There seems to be a lack of enough structure in the back of the shoe to keep the heel in place while wearing socks, and the seams or something inside the shoe are too rough to go without socks.I only got maybe a hundred yards from home and decided to head back. By the time I got to within a few yards of my driveway, I had to take off both shoes and limp the rest of the way. My feet were absolutely killing me!So, here I am back on Amazon's website submitting a return request and writing a review. I was really hoping these would work out so this is very disappointing.

Great for average use
My partner got these for snorkeling on vacation. They’re relatively comfortable and supportive but after a couple back to back days wearing them for most of the day they started to rub and cause blisters in areas. I’d say these are great for an afternoon of kayaking or snorkeling but don’t expect these to be a great option for hiking in to a water spot. They didn’t dry out as quickly as he would have liked but they are thicker than some of the flimsy sock like options. Still a good deal for the price.

Ordered a size up and still too small...
These shoes were acceptable, if you could get them on your feet. The open part of the shoe, where your foot enters, is a stretchy elastic band. It helps grip your foot and create a snug seal. It's nice, once your foot is in the shoe. The problem is getting your foot in. I'm a traditional shoe, if you cannot get your foot in the shoe, then you loosen the laces and stretch the toungue and your foot slips in. Not this shoe. You see laces in the photo, but they are cosmetic. They place no role in loosening or tightening the shoe. It's not needed. I wear a 9 or a 9 1/2 depending on the manufacturer. I seen these are the cheaper brands of the quality version. Usually made in a country of smaller footed people. So, I ordered a 10. I received the shoes and put them on. I struggled to get them on, but for the first few times it was a good fit. I used them a week only indoors, and only for my workouts that are less than an hour. I've had it after a week. The shoes do not get easier to get into, but more difficult. The base of the shoe loosens up, but the month/opening does not. It makes it a struggle to get into them when you moving your foot and ankle to get in and the now loosened base is moving as well. I'm not very happy. I'm in the process of a return right now.I thought to myself. If this is the only problem, the opening being to tight, then I'd look for a show with the base, just a traditional opening. I just checked their entire page for shoes that they offer and the first thing they advertise..?That they support BLM. Huge turn off. If you watch the news on a consistent basis, you understand BLM does not support black lives or the black community. They have made it worse. The leaders have profited at the expense of the communities they claim to support. One leader had to step away because she was buying too many million dollar homes far away from black communities. Also, the idea that you can support and promote businesses and organizations based on race is highly unethical, even if you say it's black history month. This is all normalized racism in an easy to swallow form. I won't support a company like this. I'll continue to look for a reputable company that does not need to vertue signal and send money to demestic propogandist and terrorist. If you want to support black communities, then drive to one and patronizie their companies and services. Don't support these groups that seem vertuios, but take your money because they are making you out to be a sucker. You know what it said in big business. One born every min.
