Going Out In Style
They have been unleashed many times before in the past but perhaps this could be the definitive collection. Were talking about Hollywood's golden age of monster making horror namely the ones made at Universal studios. The studio that first gave us horror legend's Dracula and Frankenstein and the rest do I really need to go on. This collection sets out it's stall to showcase finally all original classic eight movies now restored to the highest Quality in stunning 4K. Previous Blu-ray outings have omitted certain films of the original series but here we have them all now complete and an whole batch of extras to accompany each movie. True most of the extras have been seen before on previous releases of the films but they are all showcased here along with the 4K discs of the movies no separate Blu-ray discs of the films are included in this collection. Housed in a coffee style presentation book you flip the pages just like you were reading a normal book. Each movie is given the glossy treatment as we are treated to various posters trivia and stills for each film while the discs themselves all eight are fitted in snugly at the back of your book. No danger of them falling out and becoming scratched the discs are well anchored in place and surprisingly Quite easy to remove when you are ready to view your movie. It's fair to say much as been said about the artwork on the cover all I can tell you once you receive your collection you simply fall in love with the rich colours popping out at you. I said at the start this could be perhaps the definitive release version of the original Universal monsters collection it probably won't be bettered that's my opinion for what it's worth. The collection itself a little bit on the price side of course but it still comes Highly recommended.

Monster killer....
While the Universal monster films are brilliant themselves many deserving five star status the one star is for this horrendous monstrosity posing as cover artwork. It really is hideous and bares comparison to an art project by a sixth firm student. The monsters have been done a disservice by whoever passed this good to go at Universal studios. I think I'll stick to my blu-ray coffin collector's boxset and give this a big miss.

Get it right
Some of these reviews are utterly bizarre. Art is obviously subjective, so why anyone is rating this set 1-star for that reason alone is honestly weird. Another review also seems to miss the fact that these are 4K, unlike the older/cheaper set they're comparing it to, which is Blu-ray only. If you are a fan of the artwork and of course the films themselves, then this is definitely the set to get!

CLASSIC MONSTERS etc etc
I am not sure if Amazon will print this - I hope so. It should be pointed out that these 8 films have already had the excellent Universal treatment in a previous BluRay. All yo get here is "the book" and poss some new extras. The films are a 5 star collection of course, but £100??? Current as at 4 Oct 2023. (Yes the cover is HORRIBLE!)

Missing the numbered sticker
It supposed to be the limited edition with a sticker and a number on 5500 pieces for the world.Without the sticker, the value is decreased seriously. So where it is?
