Works on any hose.

All the rivets in this tool were under-peened, so the loose jaws slipped past each other when trying to squeeze a firm hose. I can probably re-peen them and make the tool function properly, but most buyers won't have that capability.

What else can I say besides they work? I have used these for clamping closed 5/16 bleeder hoses as well as full size radiator hoses and it does both equally well.

I was also concerned based on some reviews that I read, but I took the chance anyway and I'm glad I did.There is NO play in this thing whatsoever. It is very sturdy and I applied a ton of clamping force. When it clamps, the jaws don6t move a hair.This is exactly what I wanted and I am happy to add this to my tool box because I know It will serve me very well.

They are too flimsy and fold over when clamping, doesn't really allow for a full pinch, but does help slow it down. I would personally spend more money on a higher quality tool.
