perfect for our needs
After breaking our plastic oar we had trouble finding an our that would work for us in a brick and mortar store we found this one. perfect size for our needs and timely delivery.

Aesthetically Pleasing
This oar was bought for display, rather than practical use but it doesn’t disappoint. The worst feature isn’t the item itself but the bar code sticker, which is hard to remove.

Ordered 2x ones nice the other not so much
One of the paddles are exactly as expected, the second one is very gritty feeling (they spray a water resistant application is my thoughts) the one that’s rough is like holding a high grit sand paper. Prob about to get few blisters but can’t return bc it took 4+ days longer to get then what was advertised and I’ll need it within the week

Poor finish and quality control
Feather Brand canoe paddles used to be very high quality, but this last one I bought had imperfections in both the wood and the finish. It had to be sanded and refinished before is was usable.

Rough spots and drip marks.
Bought to decorate and hang, 5 stas for that purpose.As a canoe paddle it needs finishing work before it can be used. There are multiple rough spots, probably in the wood itself, that need a good sanding and a smooth varnish. Without it one would have blisters very quickly since the handle is one of the rough spots.There are 2 or 3 large drip makes on the end of the blade, not a big deal but clearly visible.

Quality was good
It was a good size for the kids to use. I wood burned on all three of them, as they were gifts to go with a canoe that was their big gift.

MEH! I think for the money, it's possible to get something better for less at Canadian Tire.
The finished product is not very good. In my case, this is used as a spare so mostly lives life sitting in the bottom of the canoe. If anyone were actually paddle with this for any given time, I think they would conclude it's worth spending a little more and get something better. Eg. the "Feather Brand Canoe & Boat Paddle" at Canadian Tire is $29.
