FINALLY a reasonably affordable, substantial, attractive, well made piece of machinery that moves air.SO quiet. SO smooth. Excellent, A+ air movement. Good materials used. Fabulous color choices. Just enough design to fit with my mid century aesthetic, and subtle enough it will work with many more design styles! Seriously. Well done to the designers! Good Housekeeping came through.The cage latches are tight and hold very well. The security and safety is excellent. Cleaning the blades will require care as the blades are metal! Not plastic! A real fan!Good instructions. It wasn't clear where to place the grounding nut in the "stack" when attaching the back cage to the body though.I am hoping the machine has quality longevity that the desgin and materials deliver as well. After using for a week or so, I have decided it was absolutely worth spending extra I sort of didn't have for these. I'm sick of having to keep buying these in plastic and they wear out after a year or so, smell like plastic burn, the plastic blades warp, the rattling, the oscilation breaks, etc. It gets up to 110f during summer. Fans put off using the air conditioner in spring and the first part of summer. When heat reaches danger zone, fans keep air circulating, stress off the AC and the bill almost manageable. Necessary machines. So VERY pleased with these machines! Old school. Quality.

Now that I've got it assembled correctly, I love it! I had a really hard time fitting the fan blade onto the shaft facing the correct way. It was so difficult to put it on correctly, and so easy to put on backwards, that I thought the instructions might be wrong, but I was wrong! The fan blew in the wrong direction.So I took it apart and tried to assemble it correctly. It really was fiddly to seat the fan blade on the shaft, pointing in the right direction. However, once I finally got it seated, and the fan reassembled, it works great! It gives a nice breeze, isn't wobbly when fixed in place or allowed to rotate, and is quiet.The paint finish is nice. The chrome parts are good quality with no chipped edges. I'm very pleased!

After ordering this fan twice and not receiving the necessary screw to put it together, dealing with the hassle of replacing it and getting another one missing the screw. I said “screw it” I’ll walk to the hardware store and buy the screw myself. Now that it’s working it really performs well. I love the retro look. It seems pretty solid.

At less than half the cost of a popular retro fan, I was skeptical. Quick assembly, good variety of colors, easy maintenance/blade cleaning and solid performance. I've bought 3 so far!

I am very happy with the quality and the look of this fan. Was very easy to put together and so quiet. Really moves the air around I’m seriously thinking of getting a second one!

Super cute fan, but it came with some slight damaged. Too much of a pain in the ass to box it up and send it back, so I’m keeping it. Air flow seems to be great, and like I said, it’s really adorable.

I work in a women's imaging facility and it's always stuffy in my work area. I saw this and thought it would be a perfect fit. Everyone loves the retro look. It's quiet and really helpful for moving the air around.

This product claims to be easy to assemble. It's impossible to secure the screw in the notch, though — after a few seconds of quiet, it starts to make a rattling metal noise, and the blade stops moving. When I take it apart to check everything, it starts working again for several seconds, then makes the rattling noise, then stops working. Very beautiful fan, but completely nonfunctional.
