Prefers one side, but it still works.
I've just begun to drink absinthe as my go-to. This dripper certainly adds to "the ritual", being mildly entertaining in its own right. It does prefer to lean toward one side and isn't perfectly balanced, but it isn't bad enough that I've felt the need to fix it.

Heavy duty quality!
I've had two other Balanciers and the others were of lesser quality. Essentially they rust, even if you dry them out properly.This one does not. It is not flimsy and made of a quality metal. It DOES NOT RUST.If you like conducting the absinthe ritual, this is a neat accessory to have!

slight quality issue
Diverter isn't straight so a lot of the time the water just drips and flows to one side instead of seesawing from side to side.
