I am having total hip replacement in 2 weeks. I ordered 1 of these and immediately ordered a second one. (So I could always have a cold pack ready. The material used for the cover is very soft and the Velcro straps will stick anywhere on the cover. So, no matter your shape, the item will fit. I wish they sold extra gel packs, but that is why I ordered two of the product.

Purchases product because my husband had hip replacement surgery. We use this from the very beginning and have not put it down since he had his surgery three days ago. The straps are stretchy and Velcro Which makes it very easy to take on and off and putting it where he feels the ice pack will Be in the best position to help with his pain we liked it so much. My aunt is also having surgery in three days and I ordered one for her as well. Great product!! Highly recommend

This was used to apply cold to alleviate pain after hip replacement surgery. Good adjustable fit using two Velcro straps, one around the waist, the other around the leg at the thigh; it stayed snugly on the hip whether seated, lying, or standing. The gel pack takes about two hours in the freezer to get fully cold and provides about thirty minutes or so of cooling per application once inserted into the holder. Gel pack is about 12" x 8.5", and when inserted into the holder covered both the front of the thigh at the incision as well as the side of the hip. I would suggest trying to place the gel pack flat in the freezer if possible.

I just received this item today and couldn't wait to use it as I just got home from PT and hurting. I used the pack for heat and later tonight I will do ice as I have to rotate between hot and cold. The pack is so comfortable to wear and came in a thick secured box with instructions that were easy to read. I love this product so much that I may even order a second just because I have to rotate so much between hot and cold. Great quality product that I highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful!! Fits great and stays snug. Ice/heat pack is perfect! My 92 yr old mom says it's "just the best thing yet!"

does not fit and stay in place, moving around--- but sitting I can use it laying flat on on top of the body..... just not around the waist/or leg/or hip/or thigh.....

I recently had a surgery for an excision/reposition of my femur/acetabulum. These ice packs was a great purchase to reduce my swelling. It stays cold for a very long time. It fit my hip good. It’s heavy but you would expect this heaviness in a good quality ice pack. I recommend

Hip ice pack gives good coverage and can be used many ways due to the versatile Velcro straps. Works as well as any freezer gel pack giving at least 20 mins of icing. Comfortable and easy to use. Off gassed for a day and smell is now negligible.

Good sized wrap with strong fastenings; fairly easy to slide the ice pack in the pocket. It does feel bulky but at least you have mobility while icing your hip.

Have not tried it with heat, but it's great as an ice pack: easy to put on, comfortable (can even walk around with it) and stays cold for a decent length of time.

I use it on my knee, hips , arms. The straps are very convenient to keep the cold pack in place. Snug fit. Very comfortable to wear the cold pack and do any work .
