Q: can you use the microfiber cloth on a glass cooktop?

Yes, absolutely. I have found that the silver/grey microfiber works really well on stainless appliances, but it's fine to use with the cooktop spray on your glass cooktop as well. This stuff if the best cleaner I have ever used. You'll want to get some of their red, soft abrasive pads and the cream as well. This is best for quick wipe ups after cooking light meals/non-grease splatter, etc. but for anything that's burnt on, you'll need the cream cleaner and the scrub pad.

Q: I clean my cooktop weekly with the cream. in between i use windex for splatters. how is this spray product any different than using windex?

Hate to tell you this but if your cooktop is ceramic then you shouldn't use Windex on it! Windex will etch the ceramic. This product is meant to supplement cleaning in between applications of a glass cooktop creme cleaner like Cook Top brand. The cream cleaners help keep foods from sticking and make clean up much easier. I have a Bosch electric non-induction cooktop and using the creme cleaners and this spray keeps it looking brand new.
