I have some IKEA desk lamps and the bulbs I purchased from IKEA ran out. Unfortunately, they don't make the bulb anymore, and so the search for a replacement was in order. Since I live hours away from an IKEA, fast shipping and lowest cost replacement were required. I ordered a single 4pack of these bulbs to test them out. Shipping was free 2-day, of course, and when I got the bulbs they were in perfect condition.The real test, though, was to find out if they would work in the lamp. The other reviews about the extended length did have me a little concerned. I took out one bulb, screwed it into the fixture and turned it on. First, yes, the E17 was a perfect fit for the E17 fixture. Second, the added length actually helped me. Third, the light quality was indistinguishable from the original IKEA bulbs, Check, check, and checkmate!I would recommend these lights again. I'm personally going to stock up on a supply to last me so far into the future that we will convert to wireless electricity throughout the home before I run out of bulbs.

These LEDs were longer than I expected but in my case it worked out better. I have 9 recessed fixtures in a dry bar/shelving area in my billiard room. These fixtures allow you to aim the light down, slightly forward by about 10 degrees or slightly back by the same. The part that moves is round and fits into the upper/outer part of the fixture. I had a hard time inserting and removing the old shorter incandescent bulbs because they fit up and inside the fixture making it hard to get your fingers on the bulb. These LEDs are longer and when inserted and screwed down they end up almost flush making them easier to insert or remove with these particular fixtures.The LEDs are as expected. Brightness is good but not to bright. The color temperature is exactly what I wanted. They seem to be very close to mimicking a soft white mini spotlight bulb with more of a yellow hue and not blue. If they are not 2700k, I'd say they are very close.I just installed them last night and think they look good, exactly what i was looking for and instant on too. Hoping they last as I did not see the hours of operation listed on the product page.

One of my IKEA Ledare lights started flashing after only one year, telling me it was dying. They say LEDs last 20 years, but I haven't seen one last more than two. This is one of two Ledares I use at my desk and I was worried that replacing it with anything other than a Ledare would lead to brightness and color temperature differences. But this is a perfect match in that regard. It's not dimmable (I don't care) and the neck is a bit longer, meaning it's not as recessed into the fixture (I don't care). They cost half as much as the IKEA and I hope these last longer than one year.

I got a little worried when the incandescent, 40-watt spotlights I had in our stereo cabinet were accidentally touched. WOW! I had no idea the the heat the little intermediate base bulbs were so I hunted for some LED replacements and stumbled upon these lamps. I'm so impressed with them. They are as bright or brighter than the incandescent units and use only 5 watts of power. I can't vouch for the longevity but I'm sure they will last a lot, lot longer than the ones I replaced. Shipment was quicker than expected too. Two thumbs up.

Needed a light that would make it easy to see while in my kind of dark living room. They are not the cheapest light bulbs, but, the light generated did the trick.

The overall color is warm white, but at the very center there is a bright white circle.

I needed replacement plant light fixtures where incandesant bulbs were too hot and did not last. I like the color temperature of this bulb but note that this is not an exact replacement for an R14 bulb as it is slightly longer so it protrudes out of the fixture but I guess I can live with it and not worth the trouble of returning. But the seller should indicate this in the description. Photo attached showing side-by-side comparison with a R14 incandescent bulb.

The 4 pack lights were led replacements for incandescent high intensity bulbs I had to constantly change. Hopefully these will last longer. They are brighter, fit the hard to find E17 socket and the spot shines down inside the cabinet and not out into your eyes as badly as the original incandescent bulb. They arrived quickly and appear to be unbroken.
