The Swiss Colony Wild Game Sausages - Elk, Buffalo and Venison Meat, Savory Pork and Beef Blend

This was a Xmas gift for my two brothers. Each of them received the package in great shape. Each of them couldn't wait till Xmas to try the sausage. They both called and said it was delicious. That's what I wanted to hear. Seems like a great product and a good gift.

I ordered the wild game sausage three pack but was sent a summer sausage and cheese box instead. Was not notified of a substitution nor did I want a substitution. And it says it's not returnable. Swiss Colony and Amazon are shady as hell. 40.00 for something I didn't want and can't return it. This is NOT alright.

For the price, these sausages are OK. Presumably to reduce the cost, all 3 sausages are blended with pork and beef, so you get a hint of the flavor of the elk, buffalo, and venison, but it not real gamey. As with all summer sausages, these sausages are very salty and fatty, so they are better as a small appetizer than as main meal. The sausages do not need to be refrigerated until you open the sealed plastic wrapper.

Very tasty and packaged well. Lovely as an addition to a charcuterie board or just for munching on with some cheese and crackers.

While my brother said they’re good, smaller than I expected for the money. But I didn’t pay attention to the price/pound when I picked it for his Xmas gift, so mea culpa😎

Disappointed. All 3 Taste like a regular summer sausage. Won't buy again.
