This product is good quality and looks amazing in the living room! Ease to install and will be buying more.

Recommend having a basic electrical background and tools to install it is a little difficult to connect all the wiring and for it to fit and open and close properly but once you get it working it looks great and works good.

The pop up outlet is nice but there is simply not enough room below the outlet in the closed position for connecting wires in the box.

The shallow box allows you to not have to cut as deep into the cement which is nice. Wiring just needs to be placed in box correctly and not bunched up for outlet to fit and function as it should. Would definitely buy again.

This outlet was used to install an electrical outlet underneath our kitchen floor island. We have bar stools on one side of the island, and it's a popular spot for the family's laptop use. Installation was easy and straightforward. Pay careful attention to the terminals to ensure that the hotwire (black) is attached to the correct terminal (mine was labeled as 'L')Installation took less than an hour.

Let's start with the instructions or should I say the piece of paper that comes with it? Totally useless! You get a metal work box and the pop up receptacle and a white piece of plastic and 4 screws. No clue what the white plastic thing is for? The metal box has punch out's to run your electric wire through. You are going to need a connector to hold your wire bc it doesn't come with one. The wires on the receptacle are red, blue and yellow. The red is marked with an "L" for load (black wire). The yellow is the ground and the blue is common (white). The set screws that hold the wire in place are good for one tight turning. Don't take the wire off because the set screws are copper and can't take a good tightening or they will strip the heads off. They must figure that the box is just a floating box in the floor bc there are no holes in the box to allow you to screw the box to a floor joist or the sub floor. I had to drill holes in the box in order to get it fixed to the floor. Mounting the receptacle to the box is easy and once it's installed then it looks pretty good. Overall I am happy with the way it looks but it shouldn't take an hour to install! Maybe all the $45 and up products are made the same way but there is a reason this is $29.

These do not open slowly at all, they smack the frame housing upon opening them. Not recommended and being returned.
