Needed this to take guesswork out of the dishwasher status. It sturdy and easy to use. Only note is that if it gets tilted, the slides very easy. So if not careful, clean can change to dirty fast!

Listen... for 5 bucks (and a little change) you cannot do better than this great little magnetic sign. It will eliminate the need to inspect the dishes in the dishwasher, or anything else (washer? dryer?). The uses are endless.It's great that it has a soft magnetic strip on the back that will not damage your appliance's finish, and also comes with an adhesive velcro for those application to a non-ferrous surface.Easy to slide, sticks great. I checked out dozens of these on both Amazon and eBay and this particular style is the easiest to read. The fact is, with the red (dirty) and green (clean) colored backgrounds you really don't even need the type.Until I purchased this my wife & I were constantly doing dishwasher-detective work, trying to decide if the dishes inside were wet or dry, dirty or clean. It is a non-issue now.I can't recommend this strongly enough.As for the fact that I gave it 5 stars for being "Giftable". If you give this as a gift to someone they will use it and enjoy it. You however, will enjoy a new reputation for being a cheapskate.

These are so simple to use and priced well. If you open your dishwasher after it's clean and don't empty it right away, these signs will tell you the dishes are still clean since the machines light goes out after opening. Plus it's easy to see from a distance. Many guests have inquired about this sign as thinks its clever, so we've gifted them. Been using the same sign for over 3 years and it's still attached and working well.

The first wooden magnet option I had to return. This was my second try. Wow! The videos I watched helped me decide. This magnet stay in place when you open and close the door. No matter how many times you open it and no matter how forceful, it stays in place. It is also easy to take it off and reposition it if you want too. The slider from clean to dirty moves with ease. The quality and durability are high.

It was my impression that this was supposed to be magnetic. It isn't. It comes with tabs that stick to both the sign and the dishwasher. Not what I wanted, but it works okay. It was also a lot larger than I thought it would be. If it gave the dimensions of the product, I did not note them. They just looked small in the picture. Other than those disappointments, this works well and is certainly easy to read from across the room. So, if you have bad eyesight, you will have no problem seeing whether the dishes are clean or dirty -- provided you change the sign to the correct kind of dishes you have in the dishwasher.

Nice sleek unit, wish I would have paid more attention to the details. Wanted one with magnets but this is just adhesive. Not a big deal, it was my fault.

I have bought three of these - one for our old house, one for our new house, and one for a friend. Other people have seen ours and bought one for themselves. The strong magnet stays connected to the dishwasher. It is easy to move between "clean and dirty."
