The Tooth Book: A Guide to Healthy Teeth and Gums

Lots of fun, dental facts.
Good book full of fun facts and dental trivia. My 9 year old liked it, but it is written a little wordy for my 5 year old. I really like that it has a trauma page with simple ways to treat dental emergencies. Not that I would ever want anyone to need that information, but it’s good to have it easy access. I also like how there is a lot more information on what happens outside the dental office than inside.

Informative
Super cute! Great for parents that have a hard time getting their kids to brush their teeth. Also, gave kids new terminology to learn and what to do in emergencies regarding their teeth. There is also a step by step on how to brush your teeth. Must have for children! I used this book for a Teaching assignment so I didn't read it to any children, but I'm glad I got it for when I'm ready to have kids.

Comprehensive
I love this book for teaching dental health. It contains many interesting and fun facts. It includes all aspects of dental health... how to brush, floss, effects of sugar, what to do in case of emergency, timeline of the eruption of teeth, etc. My students were very interested in the book. It appeals to all ages... elementary to adult!

Great book
Teaches children how to brush teeth, floss, and why. Teaches them all about what dentists and hygienists do. Imagine! Teaching a kid to take care of his or her teeth so they'll have them the rest of their lives!! How priceless is that?! This book is a priceless gift to give any child.

Great book….but bound wrong?!?!
I love that the book is packed with science-based information, but half is bound upside down. Quite frustrating.

Dental Hygiene for the Very Young
I bought the Tooth Book to fulfill NYS requirements for health education as homeschoolers for third grade. I love Edward Miller's illustrations and the layout is nice as well. It's an easy read and I felt it held its own well in a genre that attempts to make complex and not always exciting topics interesting and fun for kids.

informative
My child has his first tooth moving and he got very interested in teeth and the tooth fairy, etc. This book is informative and very interesting. It's not just telling you a fairytale of magic teeth and other nonsense, but giving real information to the kids in a cute and enjoyable fashion which fitted my 6 yrs old.

This is an American Book
This is a nice book, but it is based on American guidelines so is not really appropriate for British children.

Fun to read
I bought this book for my 5 year daughter as she is learning the importance of dental hygiene. I found this book informative and fun to read for both of us. As a bonus our 3 year old also enjoys looking at the pictures when she is on the potty.
