Fits well and good material

I had been having repeated ticks on my person in my garden, necessitating treatments of antibiotics to protect against Lyme, ect. I decided to buy tick repellent clothing. I have used this hoody twice and no ticks so far. Light, airy with good hood.

I have numerous light weight hoodies and this one is my favorite. The bug stopper feature is great as well. A bit more money but in my mind well worth it

I've worn this almost every day when it's sunny and warm. I've worn this during week or multi-week treks through the Andes, Cascades, and the Rockies. I've worn it rock climbing, mountain biking, trail running, fly fishing, and everything in between. It's been my go-to for a while.But here are the downsides.It's heavy. It takes too long to dry. The hood is too big without a hat or helmet on underneath, and it flails around your body when you're not wearing the hood. The seam stitching is right on the shoulders, which is quite uncomfortable when wearing a backpack. The thumb holes aren't great - they don't fit well. And the hoodie is a bit baggy, which isn't too big of a deal for me, but I wanted to mention it.I recently picked up the Black Diamond Alpenglow Pro Hoody, which solves all of these problems with great technology. It's only a bit more than the Bugstopper, but well worth it.A good sun hoodie is a very versatile piece of gear, and investing in the right one will help keep you comfortable and safe in the sun. You can't go wrong with either, but the Alpenglow Pro Hoody will serve you quite well for just a bit more.

Got this for a visit to northern midwest, where mosquitoes are plentiful. Although I wasn't doing anything too woodsy like camping or fishing, this seemed to help with the little blighters. Not super breathable, but lightweight and I liked being able to pull the hood up for extra protection.
