I got this chain for an outdoor punching bag. It is rated for marine use so I am hoping it does not rust or corrode quickly in FL air. This close to the ocean, the environment is a little harsher. The chain is dipped in a protective coating as well. This chain could have been a little longer but that is my lack of measuring. The shackles on the ends are a good size, heavy, and durable. This makes for a great chain to hang a punching bag outdoors.

I wanted an anchor chain that had some coating on it for protection so it won't be as likely to damage my boat when pulling in and letting down the anchor. The Anchor-Man PVC Coated Boat Anchor Chain was 5/16" and the length is 5 foot which is a perfect amount for my setup. The stainless shackles are well made and really nice. My old chain had galvanized shackles and they become very difficult to get off over time.The PVC coating in black isn't uniform but I don't think that'll affect performance or longevity. Only time will tell and I'll update if it does.In the past I had an anchor chain with a white coating and that looked nice but easily got a bit mildew looking. The price seems in line with competitors. Overall, I am very happy with this anchor chain and believe it will last me a long time.

I needed a covered anchor lead chain that wouldn't beat the fiberglass to death in rough water. This is the one. It's still flexible so you can give the anchor a good toss, but you can also avoid scrapes when pulling it in. Definitely recommended.

This is an excellent piece of anchor attaching accessory to help secure and to manage your boat anchor.This comes with the galvanized chain wrapped in a heavy coat of PVC where the chain remains flexible enough yet somewhat stiff for your boat anchor.The Stainless Steel threaded shackles are attached at both ends of the chain. Of course these are where you attach the anchor rope to the boat on one end and to the anchor at the other. I like that the weight of the chain will aid in getting the anchor loose from the bottom if somehow it gets lodged and doesn’t release right away. The anchor can be flipped then with the help of the weight of the anchor chain attached to it making it easier to flip it over for releasing the anchor from another angle…something you learn through experience.Great accessory offered at a very reasonable price, 5 stars *****

This is some thick, strong, heavy duty chain!! I LOVE the thick rubber coating. Covers the ENTIRE CHAIN end to end minus the screw bolt shackles. Last link on each end is a little larger than the rest for ease of swapping out your connection shackles. My guess is that's the only rusting/failure point you're going to find on this set with how well coated the rest of the chain is. Links are large and the chain has weight. You can feel it when you pick it up that there's nothing flimsy about it. This chain is meant to hold and hold well!

Very nice setup with everything that you need to connect to your boat anchor. Very thick quality feeling coating on the chain. Stainless steel shackles have good finish and function-threads together nicely. Minimal packaging- just a sticker and a plastic tub. Zip tie fits nicely thru hole in bolt of shackles to prevent backing out. Very happy!

Good quality anchor chain with vinyl coating. Size is perfect for adding heft to an anchor in very shallow water or very light watercraft. I’ll use this with the back mushroom anchor on my 24’ boat. It is too short to use with my main anchor. The back anchor can get stepped on a lot, so having the vinyl coating on it is very important.
