I purchased 2 of these and used 1 time since,, both do not work. The drag clutch on both will not tighten enough t o use. I bough several in the past but the quality must have gone down a lot. I would not buy them.

I accidentally got one of these based on name and numerical designation. I have had years of good fishing with the real Abu Garcia C3 and C4s. This hunk of plastic and metal is made in China with only the kind of loving care that can be given by slave labor. There is an inch or more of reverse play in the handle when reeling on this, the star drag is difficult to turn due to the bent handle design, and the line guide is free from the top of the guide so it's ready to bend. Pure Fishing now owns the Abu Garcia name and is putting it to bad use stamping the name on junk like this.

The fisherman who got it was pleased and has caught several fish with it already… so a winner in my book!
