OtterBoxDEFENDER SERIES for Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro (8.4) (White/Gunmetal Grey)

The Samsung Galaxy tab pro 8.4 inch Android tablet is very thin and uncomfortable to hold by itself. adding the OtterBox defender case on top of this tablet and surrounding it to protect the tablet also provides the added benefit of making it a bit thicker and therefore more comfortable in the hands. along with being more comfortable to hold in the hands you also get the added benefit of just overall drop protection so no matter what I do with this tablet it will always be protected. I will admit that the home button is just slightly too stiff but that's the only gripe I have with the tablet the power button and the volume rockers are very nicely molded the case and work well with the buttons underneath on the tablet to give you fast accurate button presses on the power and volume rockers. This OtterBox defender case is strong and secure and tight holding the tablet firmly in place with no audible rocking noise ensuring a tight fit that will keep your tablet safe and secure. I ended up getting the gray and white otterbox defender case for my Samsung Galaxy tab pro 8.4 inch tablet and although it's not the color I would have preferred I don't mind it because this was the only one that they had available and they are stock from 2014 so you'll have to understand that they're not going to have the same amount of selection that they had back in 2014 if you're buying it now in 2020 so really I don't mind having a gray and white otterbox defender case on my Samsung Galaxy tab pro 8.4 inch tablet. I also like that I bought this tablet used and there was a few blemishes and unappealing scuffs on the tablet and the OtterBox defender series case actually covers those up and makes this look like a pretty nice package when the tablet is inside the OtterBox defender case and I see that as a major positive. I also see it as a major positive that I no longer have to be ultra nervous whenever I'm holding the tablet . I can just be relaxed and comfortable and if I drop the tablet there's nothing bad that's going to happen because it's inside of an OtterBox defender series case which in my opinion are also the best looking tablet and phone cases available as well just to be honest. I always buy an OtterBox case for my iPhone because I prefer Apple phones but I prefer Android tablets which is interesting because normally it's the other way around where people prefer Apple tablets and Android phones but for a tablet I like the 16x10 aspect ratio much more than the 3x4 aspect ratio of the iPad because it's better for media consumption which is what I use my tablets for and for me personally I don't have a lot of problem with apps fitting in this aspect ratio. So I like this tablet I really like OtterBox and I've been a big fan of them for a long time because they make a quality product and I recommend OtterBox over any other case except if you want a waterproof case because OtterBox doesn't make a completely waterproof case but that's neither here nor there.

However, I also realize how damaging just one fall can be on a tablet. Because of this fear, I decided to buy an Otterbox Defender Series. Admittedly, this is an extreme solution and most people will not want (or need) this type of protection. But for those of us who want to hold on to our tablets as long as possible and prevent all damage, this is perfect for you.-Design-This case was designed with security in mind. The installation was easy and the built in screen protector is a nice addition to the case. It has a thick cover that should prevent most types of damages to occur to your device should it be propelled by gravity to the ground. The button layouts are accurate and it is easy to access the device. The plastic cover on top of the device also doubles as a stand, which has proven useful at times. There is a cover for all the ports except the speakers. So while the device might be splash proof, it definitely isn’t waterproof. But for most environments, this should provide the most protection available.-Quality-The case has excellent quality when it comes to the case itself. The rubber feels nice and the plastic feels like it won’t fall apart. However, there are one or two issues that I have, all of them with the screen protector. First of all, it adds this kind of greasy rainbow effect on the screen. However, it is only visible when looking at the device from an angle and the effect itself isn’t noticeable under normal use. What is noticeable is the cutout on top of the device. Once you notice it, you won’t stop noticing and it can get annoying. It isn’t properly and it splits the S in Samsung. I’m really obsessive about this small detail and I bet most people won’t be bothered. But for me, it’s an issue that could’ve been easily resolved by simply moving the cutout. It’s an issue that shouldn’t be there.-Conclusion-This case isn’t for everyone. It’s sort of bulky and depending on your use, it may be overkill in terms of protection. It adds a bit of weight, but is not really an issue and I could hold it while reading without having my arm hurting. It also isn’t the most professional of looks, leaning more towards a utilitarian design. However, if you have children or you treat your device like a child would, this will work to defend your device from damage. It isn’t perfect, since there are slight issues with the screen protector. But if protection is your number one priority, there is no better option.

Ottimo prodotto, ottima qualità percepita, ottima idea della cover rigida che funge anche da base/supporto con diverse opzioni di scelta per l'inclinazione. Peccato per il copri schermo solidale alla struttura della cover in gomma, che è in plastica e non in vetro, se non altro evita di rompersi e di dover essers sostituito. Ne soffre un po' la luminosità dello schermo e la risposta del tuouch. Nel complesso ottimo prodotto
