A fantastic water heater
Not sure why all the bad reviews. This is a great tankless water heater. Do your research and if u are not handy, call a pro because this needs hooked up to water, gas, electricity andintake/exhaust venting.Great value and performance. Makes a bit of noise from the internal fan, but only hear it in the utility room.

Check your application before ordering
I ordered this when it came in I found it was not appropriate for my particular application. My old water heater was located in the center of my basement which is a bad place for this particular unit this is meant to go on an outside wall with special venting procedures. Warning you cannot use the existing vent for your old gas tank hot water heater for this tankless water heater. It requires special pipe for venting that is not cheap. If you're planning on putting this on an outside wall it may be perfect for you. But if you're like me and you're replacing your old tank water heater that was located in the middle of your basement don't buy this.

RTG 95DVLN-3
This tankless Hot Water Heater has not worked as adveristised or expected. It notes hot water will be continuous. I added a Rheem circulating pump to the Rheem tankless as recommended by Rheem. It works as noted. Hot water is continously on sinks, not on showers. Hot water goes to warm after 3-4 minutes.when using the shower. The Rheem circulating pump runs is intervals which allows the water to cool. I had a Rheen tank hot water heater with a circulating pump and replaced to the tankless Rheem. My expeactations where hot water as needed. This tankless does not do that

leaks
It was installed by a licensed plumber and for some reason. Whenever you turn on the hot water, any excess hot water is leaked out

MISLEADING PRODUCT ADVERTISEMENT
The posting of this unit is very misleading to the average consumer. I purchased this item to convert my existing gas hot water tank into a tankless, only to find out that it could not be vented into my existing gas venting system. It had to have a more or less proprietary venting system by itself. This cost me an additional $350 not to mention more labor costs and the cost of converting all the existing plumbing. I discussed this issue with the Rheem service area but nothing was mentioned to reimburse me for this additional cost in labor and materials. I explained to them that the special venting system should be shown as an additional purchase of this unit. I think Amazon should bear some of this responsibility.

You will need special equipment not included.
Might look like a decent deal at first but it requires a type 3 stainless concentric vent for proper venting. This is something you’ll have to pick up at your local HVAC/plumbing distributor, and the parts aren’t cheap. Better off going with a Navien.

We Regret Buying
So we bought this unit, which was recommended by Rheem customer support as a replacement for the Rheem tankless that was in our house before we bought it. It also died. This new unit turned out to be a nightmare. First of all, it’s not technically a high-efficiency unit in spite of Rheem calling it that on Amazon. The parts that fit it and all of our plumbers have said that it is a mid efficiency unit by its nature. We have spent so much money trying to have this thing professionally installed to the point where it’s working and even Rheem-certified plumbers have complained about parts for this particular unit to being hard to obtain. Save yourself time and energy and buy a different brand.
