Carhartt knit hat with visor offers the warmth and the one-size-fits-all versatility of a knit pull-on plus the ability to shade your eyes from bright sun or snow. It'd durable and comfortable, it's made of 100 percent acrylic, stretchable rib-knit fabric, and features the Carhartt logo embroidered on the front.

Great-fitting, warm, somewhat-stylish hat.
While I've worn Carhartt products in the past, this is the first thing I've ever bought from the company for myself. And I've gotta say that this is probably the only thing I'll purchase all year that is worth the sticker price. As a guy raised in the Pacific Northwest, I have no shortage of cold weather gear. Unfortunately, not much of that clothing is what I'd call fashion-conscious. This is probably because I see no reason with looking a bit goofy on the few days that are actually numbingly cold. Anyway, as a result of this, I only own one cap: a knitted red-and-orange ensemble that I became increasingly ashamed of as others on-campus would glance at it.The solution, I decided, would be to purchase a simple beanie. But then I saw this hat and it caught my eye, mostly because of the brand matched with the price tag. ("Isn't Carhartt stuff usually expensive?") The fashionable design of it caused me to purchase it right then and there. A few days later it arrived (along with some other junk I'd ordered), and I excitedly yanked it out of the Amazon box.I have a big head. One-size-fits-all hats do not fit my head. Baseball caps need to be at their second-to-largest setting (or completely unfastened) to fit on my head and not cause an immediate headache. Much to my surprise, this fits perfectly. It does have to stretch a bit, but it's not a ripping-at-the-seams stretch. It's more of how it was designed, really. Pulled down over the ears the cap feels a lot more like it's simply hugging my head, and I don't get a headache or any sort of discomfort (apart from the occasional itch that inevitably comes with wearing a hat). The best part is: because it's hugging my head so nicely, I can whip my head around while out cycling and the hat stays firmly planted on my head without sliding off.Would I recommend it? Yes. It looks great, actually fetches compliments now and then, is inexpensive, works perfectly, and stashes away in a pocket when not needed. This thing singlehandedly caused me to start shopping for a Carhartt coat to replace the neon-green ski jacket I've been wearing. Turns out that being warm, and looking (and feeling) good, are possible to have together.

Awesome Toboggan
Carhartt always has great products, and this one is no different. My husband uses this at work and for hunting. It is comfortable and great for cold weather.

Great knit cap!!!
Yes I absolutely love this hat... Cannot fault a single thing with the one I got.First off it is well made... and VERY warm (and stylish too if that is what you are into)I bought this cap for a trip to chicago, so it is safe to say I put it through the cold weather test and was suprised that at times it kept my head warm enough to make me sweat a little if I wore it indoors after coming in from the cold.as far ass the bill goes. I have never been a huge fan of "jeep" style caps but this one has a smaller more flexible bill so it doesn't look more like a ball cap that a knit cap. and unlike others similar it does'nt put pressure on your forehead like others do.I recommend this hat for anyone...

Amazing Warmth, Excellent Value
When winter started bearing down upon us out here near the Canadian border, I knew it was essential that I start looking for a nice winter hat. Prior to this Carhartt I have spent upwards of $20-$30 for a nice winter hat, which always work out okay but many tend to be itchy, or not hold in the heat as well as I was hoping. Upon searching on Amazon I found this hat for a ridiculously affordable price, and the fact that it's a Carhartt always helps. This is actually my first experience with a Carhartt product, and I am very pleased with it.Temperatures around here over the last week have been down around 11-12F, with some local areas getting 30 inches of snow in a 48 hour period - So yeah, I would say that this hat has been tested out pretty well. Even in these extremely low temperature storms, this hat has done an excellent job at keeping warmth. In addition, I love that the hat features a visor, since I find normal "beanie" hats to look sort of odd in general. For reviews saying that this hat "is meant for a 10 year old" since it's "too small" do not understand that it SHOULD be a tight fit. There is no way that this cannot expand to meet anyone's head size (unless you're conehead) and for those with larger sized heads, the material will most likely stretch out a bit over time to accommodate your larger cranium.Another nice feature is that, if you notice on the picture, there is an extra amount of material that is curled up from the bottom of the hat to about its mid section. This material can be pulled down, and completely cover your ears and back of your neck. Having that extra warmth is a huge plus and makes this such an excellent product.Bottom Line:If you are looking for a nice hat, stop. You found it.- Keeps you warm, even in low temperatures- One size fits all- Covers head, ears and back of neck- Nice cosmetic design- Way less itchy than most others out there (though still some itch)- Very affordable

Warm, and well-made in the U.S.
This "one-size-fits-all," tightly-woven acrylic hat is essentially a high-quality beanie with a brim sewn in. The brim must be for fashion, because it is far too small to be useful. The lower half of the cap folds upward to approximately half of the cap's height, so that two layers of fabric surround one's head. This double-layer of tightly-woven fabric is what gives the cap its substantial warmth, and wind-breaking ability. It is the warmest single piece of head-wear I own. Considering its warmth, price, and quality of construction, I believe this hat clearly deserves a 5 star rating. In addition, it is proudly made in the U.S.A.BTW, my tip for staying warm in frigid weather is to wear a turtleneck sweater, and to then wrap a warm scarf around your neck (I use a green wool scarf from my Army days). When both your head and neck are warm and the wind cannot blow down your coat's collar, three-quarters of the battle to stay warm is won.
