When I first opened the package I was shocked to see how small these looked for being a standard sized cupcake liner, they had extra room when I put them in my cupcake pan. After adding batter they widened up and fit inside the pan perfectly. They kept their shape after baking and look really nice. Not grease proof though

You wouldn’t think there could be much of a difference in cupcake liners but someone found a way. When I first opened these they looked the same and felt the same as the standard white cupcake liners I have always used. Since this is such a big pack thought I would take some out and add to the ones in the container in the cupboard, that is where the difference became apparent. These standard size cupcake liners are smaller than the standard size I have been using for years, by about 1/4 “ diameter. Doesn’t seem a lot but if I were buying a cupcake or muffin it is noticeable enough to tick you off as “same price reduce the size” scam; for home use I will call it a calorie saving cupcake liner. You can also consider this a sign of the times, pay more get less?So other than the size they work as well as other cupcake liners, cooking a bit of overage in your batters. I use cupcake liners for candy making, diy projects to hold and separate beads or smaller parts and have been know to smash them down to use as hamburger patty separators.These cupcake liners work but for the price and smaller size I would not buy again.
