For the same price as a single bulb from my local pet store, I can buy four bulbs that last just as long.These have had no problem putting out heat. The corner in which I have my heat lamp, it's remained a consistent 88-90 degrees for my gecko, which has kept her active.Having had the same pack of bulbs for 8 months now, I'd say these are well worth it if you don't need the highest output bulbs.

I have bought these a few times now. They are handy. I use them in several tanks but also use as a backup in case my big bulbs go out. I also recently took one to work to replace an overhead light that was dim. I work in a no windows environment so it brightened things up!

The timer works. The light works. It came with 2 bulbs (50 + 25 watts). The clamp is strong and the flexibility is good. The only problem I'm having with it is that the light won't turn on initially. I have to turn it on and then wiggle the bulb for it to actually light up. Which is annoying to have to do every single day. I don't know why it's doing this but once I do this it stays on until I turn it off. So, technically the timer doesn't work because it won't light up unless I wiggle the bulb.Edit: Well, after 2 months it completely fell apart. After still having the same connection issues between the bulb and the lamp this entire time (I should have just returned it!) I took the bulb out and pieces of the inside came with it. It's officially broken. Was most likely broken all along.

I bought this heat lamp for my turtle. She loves it. She bask all day under it. I turn it on a 12hr cycle every morning. Only downfall is the bulb has to be changed fairly often.

My turtle loves this nice little turtle lamp. You can see in the picture how happy she is eating dinner under a nice warm bath of light. This light kit is surprisingly sturdy for such an inexpensive lamp. It comes with two wide-spectrum bulbs, which is super handy for when one bulb goes out. Always keep a spare on hand for when one bulb goes out, even with AZ speeds, you don't want to keep her waiting.The clip-on mount works just great in my situation and is very strong and grips very well! The flexible arm is just long enough and PLENTY stiff - no chance of it wearing out or moving on its own like some of those cheaper lights too.The cord and power on/off module seem to be very well made, very sturdy and so far, works perfectly as expected. The module turns the light on / off AND allows you to dim the light in 5 different settings in case the full light is too strong for your little friend.BTW, MY little friend - the "box turtle" in the photo - was malnourished by its original owner and can't bury herself properly. So in the wild she would quickly become egg bound and die. 25 years later you can say I have learned a thing or two about my Jane, "the Toughest of Terrapins", and the type of lights she likes and needs when she has to be indoors during the cold winter months. I would let her go - if I could. She will likely outlive me by 50 years too - if I find the right person to take over some day.

This will be my go to bulbs to buy. They are good quality, and they work excellently. Definitely a worthwhile buy, but my only complaint is that the bulb seems to die if the lamp is smacked in anyway, so be careful!

This lamp is fantastic for keeping my bunnies, warm and making sure they get their vitamin D. They are so happy as they are basement bunnies. They were getting depressed because they were not getting enough light in the basement. Sometimes you have to keep your rabbits in the basement so they can have a whole room to themselves. My rabbits are potty trained and do not live in cages. I find them taking long winter naps underneath their new fantastic lamps. Make sure that you have the lamp up in the air and the cord, so there’s no way the rabbits can chew on the cord. Also, I never leave something like this plugged in when I am not home.
