If you enjoy fresh coffee here’s the one.
Perfect coffee with ease of use, easy to clean after finding out how with the leaflet. As with all coffee machines expect the noise but it will alert all others that coffee is being made, the taste depends on the beans you use so try a few to get your perfect coffee. As with all Smeg products you know it’s a good product.

Great machine - till its not.......
I have wanted to go to a bean to cup machine for a while, as the plastic waste from the Dolce Gusto machines that I have been using till now, no longer sits well with me.I bought the SMEG, as it was compact and un-fussy.The machine worked well and we played around with various beans to get the blend that suited us both. Then the machine had a jam, that was not fixable without technical knowledge. I contacted SMEG, who informed me to package up the machine and they would have DHL collect it the next day. After 3 days of tripping over it in the hall, I emailed SMEG who sent an email confirming that they would get it collected the next day (heard that before) and would get it sorted...Nothing happened, so I called SMEG customer care (so called) and was told that the gentleman dealing with it was out at the moment, but would call me back that afternoon........ he didn't.So after a week of stubbing my toe on a large box filled with a defunked coffee machine, I have sent it back to the purchaser to get a refund. My advice would be don't buy this product, as SMEG don't have the first clue about customer service, and I dare say you too will end up with an oversized hall ornament !!

Wonderful.
It’s great. My only problem is that the directions don’t address the time elements. There’s a process here and much whirring and shrieking until the actual process starts. So I actually thought it was broken on first use. Daily use, and now accustomed to its idiosyncrasies, it’s first rate.

Didn't last long!
Very happy with the machine when first purchased; easy to use, and produced good coffee. However, living in a hard water area, it needed regular descaling, a very lengthy process taking over an hour each time. After just over a year, had a problem with the brewing group - the area it sits in needs regular cleaning as ground coffee finds it ways in there and builds up - after removing the brewing group it would not relocate. I contacted Smeg who told me to return the whole machine, which they repaired free of charge. Now, just over two years old, the machine will no longer dispense coffee through the spout - a cup of coffee leaks out of the bottom of the machine all over the work surface. Presumably because of the age of the machine, Smeg are now no longer interested and will not answer my online fault reports - tremendous customer service!!!

Very happy but it is £££
Purchased a month ago, we use only for espresso we drink around 10 cups a day so it gets a lot of use. We’ve had no issues and love this machine so far!Quick easy and simple to use great tasting coffee with a really good crema.

Unreliable garbage
From opening the box it had the coffee grinds LED and the maintenance LED on. After a week or so of talking to Smeg these were cleared. After that it failed to make 1 in every 5 cups of coffee, spewing grinds all over its internals.I had to vacuum out the machine once a week, and the pic attached is what I found the day I cleaned it out for the final time and sent it back. From reading many other customer reviews this looks to be a deeply flawed design, and I strongly recommend that no one else buys it.

Great coffe
Had a pod machine before but price of pods have doubled. Machine is pricey but in long run will work out cheaper. Great coffee better than most high street coffee shops

Good coffee machine
This is a very good coffee machine . I have tried many bean to cup machines ,De longhi ,melitta , sage . The milk was too cold in the first 2 machines and it was too difficult using the sage , plus it didn’t fit under my cupboard , and the milk wand got blocked . This machine is a small size , fairly quiet , the milk can be heated to a good temperature, and the coffee is quick and easy to make . The taste of a latte is very good .I’ve given 4 stars because I feel the wand feels a bit flimsy , and Hope it doesn’t break . The last machine I had was a Delonghi which lasted for 12 years .I bought it from the market place ,as it was cheaper than John Lewis and manufacturers. I was disappointed that it was non returnable unless faulty . The other machines I had tried were all returnable if you weren’t happy with it . So it may be better to get from manufacturers or John Lewis , as presumably you can return if you are not happy with it .
